  1. Hey Hoe,good to see you again, have a great trip.
  2. Im familiar with the watchcollecterhk who has videos on youtube,Ive heard nothing negitave about him. But why bother? we have the best(safest) dealers here at RWG. I have the DSSD with the Swiss eta 2836,excellent time keeper, welcome :)Mike
  3. Im sure you are a good guy but try to look at the situation from my point of view. I try to answer all your questions best I can. The only thing I ask In return is a "thank you". It only takes a sec to say "thank you ". Thats all Im saying. If someone go's out of there way to help, say "thanks"!!!
  4. @ Greekgod, Once you get your new rep you will be gone,am I right? No worries mate, you are not the first. People come here all the time, ask many questions, 95% of the time we never see these folks again. So why not become a supporting member? That way you you will be giving back, just a thought, good luck
  5. Oh my, how the children suffer
  6. I go from 43mm-48,I just dont feel comfortable with anything bigger. The guys that I find silly are the 50mm-60mm Invicta or tv brand watch guys, most of those things are just big for bigs sake,no substance Imo. One of my favorite watches Is my Breitling SA,a classy piece of rea estate. The size of a person also comes Into play. I saw this guy while shopping a few months back,he was about 5ft6/150lbs with a 50mm plus Invicta or something along those lines. I was bitting my lip to keep from laughing. The case of the dam watch was almost as big as his hand. Im around 6ft/185lbs,so 48mm is on the cusp of what I feel looks In propportion with my size. The man should make the watch Imho.
  7. I "wonder" why. On a serious note,I dont see where Bill has done anything wrong here.
  8. I have to go along with T,this Is how I read it. Just a thought T,do you think that Ad could have made the "reserve" bull [censored] up?,If Indeed bs. I know that people In sales pull this "reserve" bs all the time, just to get someone to buy now. Just a thought "Every litte cheese seems to whisper Louise" (Maurice Chevalier..1929) Mike
  9. Thanks for sharing T,you my friend are a living canvas, Emily also. Keep up the good work :Mike
  10. Yes.. I see some of that blue tint comming through, nice match for the nato.
  11. These are the kind of post/ comments we get when members dont spend much time here. If you were to have spent even little time reading some of the reviews you would know that Josh is one of the most respected dealers in the rep community. Do you really think he would be a trusted dealer here If this were not the case? Just relax,It takes quite some time when sending a watch back to China. I had to send two watches back. The first one took five weeks, the second took three. But everything worked out In the end, patience Is trully a virtue. Mike
  12. The PO looks very nice on the nato, nice job woof woof:) Mike
  13. Trust me, It all becomes pretty clear In time. Dont feel bad, many of us were clueless when we arrived here. All I knew was that there were quartz watches and there were automatic watches, that was the extent of my knowledge. Eta this,Asian that,It was Indeed crazy at first. The great thing is the Infomation here Is the best that you will find anywhere, and I do mean "anywhere". You are right,It Is "way more Involved". But after a little reading/research It all comes together, for the most part anyway. Mike
  14. Good to see you asking questions, this is the way we learn. When I first arrived here I knew absolutely nothing about movements, nothing. Spend some time reading the great articles/tutorials from Zigmeister/Francissco and other educated members. Before you know it you will have gained great knowledge.. Mike
  15. @whoever..looks very nice, congratulations. Uwe does some very nice work, well done Timeband. Mike
  16. Thank you so much Angus for a well thought out and heart felt post. It will be trully a honor to have someone with your experence and knowledge be apart of this community once more. Since you are one of are finest dealers/collecters may I please ask you one question,I promise to not make this a habbit. The question Is "who has the best sub"? thanks. Cheers Angus Mike
  17. I agree Mike. I had the chance to try one on at a local jewlery shop. It was the Bulova precisionist Champlain titanium,on sale for around $375.00 I believe. Not a bad looking watch at all, with a very smooth sweep, well made to boot.
  18. Welcome to RWG,we have some fantastic members here from France. Mike
  19. Thats a rep 288 but it sure does look like a gen, outstanding replication. The dealers are having a hard time keeping them in stock,I can see why. The strap Is Indeed genuine.
