  7. Good data: I found this link and summary somewhat reassuring. http://members.iinet.net.au/~fotoplot/invicta/invicta.html Summary The "Hesitating Second Hand", observed on Invicta and other brands of watches is simply a characteristic of the "Indirect Seconds" type of movement design and in no way has any effect on the watch accuracy or timekeeping. If any watch company wanted to do something about it, the simplest, and really the only practical solution, would be to poise the second-hand. However, tens of millions of Indirect Seconds type watches of many different manufacture, in all grades from the cheapest pin pallet to high grade Swiss watches have been made in the past 50 years or so, and have been used with no problems at all. Indeed, it is hard to imagine how this characteristic could ever be observed during normal wear on the wrist, anyway. One can only assume it was claimed as a problem in an attempt to find fault in a watch which offers such excellent value for money as the Invictas do. So all you owners of Invictas, Omegas or any of the many, many other brands that use the same method for driving the second hand, there's no need to worry about it! and this --if you don't know what you are doing Increasing the tension of the brake spring must be done with great care, as too much tension will start to significantly affect the balance amplitude (from the extra friction in the train), and thus the timekeeping.

  9. Another kick a$$ watch!!!
  10. Not that it matters-- the search function here has not been the same since the forum upgrade months ago. You pretty much have to use advanced, at that is only a marginal improvement. Sorry to say. I have resorted to trying a Google Site search. That helps 50% of the time. Here is the syntax from a Google box: search term site:rwgforum.com Example: 1665 site:rwgforum.com
  11. They do not. I am a fan of their style. Some good deals at WUS. Good luck!
  12. I have a Rose Gold Daytona (that I actually bought for "parts" for its non-7750 working seconds @6 movement), it is not too bad. My wife put it on, and I think she could pull it off. I am swamped today, but time permitting I will shoot some photos.
  13. I complimented a guy last weekend wearing a Sea-Dweller. "Nice Sea-Dweller". He proceeded to tell me about all the oceans it has been in, and how it was only serviced ONCE in 13 years. Ohh, and how it survived his motorcycle accident...... 10 minutes later he finally noticed the Seiko Samurai I was wearing that day with no further discussion of diving. Hmmmm.
  14. Argh, don't tempt me like that. Given how much I love my BTR, this would be a great addition. Thanks!
  15. Hey, thanks a lot for that article. That is great. The watch came with a "DVD" of promo videos. Let me know, and I can make available an ISO image of the DVD. The low quality versions are on YouTube.
  16. This is a great option among trusted peers. I do find it funny, and wonder if PP finds it suspicious that so called "gifts" come in ODD amounts. $85, $490, $320. I think if going this route it might help stay under the radar to keep sales amount in nice round, or common values. $50, 100, 150, 200, 500, etc...
  17. Kudos, thanks. I like the fact it is available in TEN different languages! Watched it in English, German, and Japanese.
  18. Thanks for the link, but it is stating the file is temporarily unavailable.
