Hey, thanks a lot for that article. That is great.
The watch came with a "DVD" of promo videos. Let me know, and I can make available an ISO image of the DVD. The low quality versions are on YouTube.
This is a great option among trusted peers. I do find it funny, and wonder if PP finds it suspicious that so called "gifts" come in ODD amounts. $85, $490, $320.
I think if going this route it might help stay under the radar to keep sales amount in nice round, or common values. $50, 100, 150, 200, 500, etc...
I like this watch so much, it has basically replaced my Blacksteel. (Black & Red theme).
I will snap some pics of the movement shortly. It is stunning. This is the best functioning / usable chronograph I have owned. Makes gen 7750's feel bleh...
It all depends on the mood I am in, or the task(s) for the day. Might start with a beater rep while working around the house, then go to a nice dinner where a nicer watch is in order. Same reason I don't own one pair of shoes either.
There is nothing low-end about most Seiko's. They are great watches, and have been innovators in the industry.
As Ubi and By-Tor put it, try before you buy. RWG has saved me from making some very costly mistakes at the AD.
As Lani put it, I can't wait until my 1680 and 1665 projects come off of my bench. Way more interesting to say "I assembled this from parts, procured over the last year!".
Gen forums-- I lurk on a few, pictures usually rock but the conversation is a bit blah.
RWG FTW!
