  1. Hi nicewatches. I'm awaiting a white face version from EuroTimez as they QC before shipping, or so I am led to believe! The movement should be fine. The problem with the seconds at 6 that you refer to is, I believe, only an issue on the (automatic) Asian 7750 movement - it has additional 'cogs' added to it to move the seconds hand from 9 to 6, which results in additional stress on the movement, which kills it over time. (I think there's a review of it by The Zigmeister/Zigmeister, if you have a look round.) The movement in this is a handwind asian movement (I'm not entirely sure which one ) which I think is designed from the start to be seconds at 6, so should be fine. I also believe the black face version comes with the black strap as standard, so if that's what you ordered then you should be fine! I've ordered a black strap in addition to the brown strap, so I have a choice. I will attempt pics when it arrives!
  2. Ok, thanks to this post, I've just ordered this as the first rep I'm buying Will do wrist pics when it arrives! *dreads the long wait* lol
  3. Another superb review, thank you very much
  4. Altstraps do a 'natural' finish strap for Bell and Ross, I believe, of which the leather may look quite nice on that if you can get one made - it's an off-white, almost very light tan
  5. Cool, thanks for the info - I'll need to do this too at some point!
  6. If I was amending it to how I'd write it, I would write the following:
  7. I've worn a BR01 at 46mm on my 6.5" wrists and I think you can get away with that because it's designed to look big I'd be interested to see some pics of all the pams on a small wrist too, though, as I have no idea what they're going to wear like!
  8. Thanks for the great link to sd4000's review!
  9. +1 on a great review! I'm very appreciative of the detailed info in it - exactly what we need to know
  10. The above is good - but I'm just disappointed that the seller chose to go off on one when I asked a simple question in an email... I've posted about it elsewhere on the board, if you want to look. I'm just sad because I really did want these watches and now I don't particularly want to give someone with such an attitude any of my hard earned money. If you're looking to sell though, Stiggie...
  11. Navy leather strap with orange stitching? Looking good so far though Have you thought about doing different lumes on markers to reflect the different colours on the dial next to them?
  12. Cool, thank you very much!
  13. Apologies for bumping an old thread but it's the only one I could find that referred to what I was looking for! I was just wondering if the 30mm dial was the size that the full-size (36mm?) datejust's used? Thanks for any help you can give
  14. Check out the dealers recommended on here and see if it's on their websites. If it's not, email them and see if they are able to get it.
  15. Is this work safe? lol
  16. No wonder I'm confused by all the different models and what they should have! lol
  17. Possible n00b question, but... Are the rolexrolexrolex engravings on the rehaut supposed to line up with minute markers? I've never had a chance to check a gen out to see!
  18. I agree with the above - I've not got one but everything I've read on here says that the A7750 in the chrono portuguese is a ticking timebomb! Have you considered this one? http://www.rwg.cc/members/IWC-Portuguese-1...Pho-t97170.html It's pretty similar to the gen, bar the size of the numerals and the 21.6k bph movement, and by all accounts is top-notch I'm currently sourcing one now! From what I've read the gen is a limited edition of about 50 so you're unlikely to see another in the wild - although it is in platinum and worth about
  19. Respect is due for having the drive to never give up - too many others give up over much less!
  20. Cool, thank you for the info
  21. I completely agree with you, Teejay. So little extra effort is required to do a quick and dirty shot of the watch that's being ordered that it shows complete contempt for buyers if you consider it not worth your while to do to get a sale. I can only rely on my friend Karma to make sure that my feelings of frustration get back to the guilty party! lol Annoyingly, Perpetual only appear to be selling watches direct now, so I'm not sure if it's going to be possible to get them from elsewhere I think I'll keep an eye on the sales forum here, given that I don't actually want to give Perpetual any money now anyway lol I was ready to pull the trigger as well! Their loss!! Thanks again for the replies all, and apologies for the rant!
