  1. Mmmm... what I meant though was the spacing between the words Oyster Perpetual Date under the coronet or Rolex logo...in all gen LV's I've seen there is a wider space between those words...but not on this one...that's why I was wondering if both dial versions can be seen on genuine LV's... The 'swiss made' font size and placement looks OK to me... Still wondering (those dials are SO hard to find for modding ) Here's a picture of the gen I keep on seeing around... Alex
  2. Who would have guessed???? Cheers my friend! Alex
  3. In hours? 13 full hours...(he fell asleep past 10... woke up at noon so the 14th hour is not a full hour but a bit less depending on how long it took him to fall asleep - and the nightly dose of valium- ) A PS: THAT IS...IF THE ALARM CLOCK WAS DIGITAL.... apparently politicians can wind digital alarm clocks...
  4. This week will be my 21 year old.... Rolex Date... with scratches on the glass and all Cheers Alex
  5. Sorry to interrupt Ken Maister and Pugs the Wizard of all puzzles! But I think, provided that Claude and Sandy don't get busy agaisnt a half painted wall , it will take 2 hours... Sandy will have painted 2/3 of the wall...(she takes 3 hours to finish the job - 3/3 -), that leaves the remaining 1/3...Claude takes 6 hours to do the job...so in two hours he would have completed the remaining 1/3... Cheers Alex
  6. I see you haven't been able to remove that watch from your wrist from day 1!!!! Looks really really really close to the gen. Cheers my friend! Alex
  7. Mate!!! I was pasting the same picture as we speak!!! guys, we all think in synch... Good car wash and maybe a polishing and waxing will make it shine again... As for the girls...hope you still have their number... Alex
  8. BT...! wonderful shots...beautiful watches I also carry the anti-pam antibody in my veins...som' tells me we are more than a few. One question lingers...why did you let the 1680 go? Cheers Alex
  9. THAT IS RICH!!!! I'd bid just to get the box...
  10. Sorry to hear this happened to you Slay...eBay is crowded with scammers....that's why instead of never buying anything from "Rusales'...I rather never buy anything in eBay (well, at least watches...) Regards and hope this resolves soon Alex
  11. It's all about the lighting... A PS: Pugs is the expert both on light and the IWC ti...apparently the only 'flaw' (if anyone can call it that ) is the close proximity of the N (on shaffhausen...) to the marker (...measured by NASA to be 0.34 armstrongs too close...so I'm waiting for the next generation )
  12. This thing is glued to the wrist...
  13. Same here...we could write a few pages on the flaws that we see... (let alone the experts) Actually I asked the seller to take a better picture of the movement (looks like a decorated ETA in the fuzzygram) he said that he can't because 'camera bad'
  14. Hello guys, We have been discussing the differences on LV's vs the less sexy sub cousins...one of them was that the spacing between the words OYSTER PERPETUAL DATE on the dial is wider than with regular subs... As I was checking the world largest knick-knack and crap storage facility (eBay) I found one LV being sold by a large power seller with 100 % positive feedback.... The watch comes with box and papers and looks good to my eye... crown guards and crown fine, bezel and pearl fine...but the printing in the dial...has oyster perpetual date with no big spaces in between ...this is the pic of the watch... and the link to the bay... LV Auction I know this belongs to the Anal Retentive Deparment of the University of New [censored]...but if this is indeed a genuine LV ...well, maybe our reps are more accurate than expected... Does anyone know if Rolex changed the dial printing mid-production ? or this is a franken? Cheers Alex
  15. Hk! I don't know Ruby but I trust you honest opinion...apparently you had only good experiences and you stand by her. Based on that, I'm willing to give it a try. I had similar experiences with Joshua....in more than one occasion he declined to sell a certain item because the quality was not there or a new one was coming up...same with Eddie. I'd like to see Ruby as a dealer in the forum...(I believe that the 'knee jerk reaction' you mention had more to do with the fact that a group buy was being orchestrated for an outside dealer than with anything else...Andy might have honestly thought that the movm't was not a good one...I believe he has proven his integrity in more than one ocassion) (just my 0.02) Again, I'd like to see trustworthy and reliable dealers in the dealers section...I hope Ruby joins us! Best regards! Alex
  16. Glad to hear you are making a full recovery Joe! Be well! Alex
  17. you bet...
  18. Josh, This is happening way too often...Is there a forum name for this scumbag? Alex
  19. Absolutely...in a flash this guy even posted pics (a fuzzygram actually) of the decorated ETA movement inside!!! Never seen a more pathetic scammer in my life!
  20. Someone is selling a LV 50th Sub for 2 grand...of course no papers or boxset...there is one bidder -but a new guy on the bay with 0 purchases - ...I wonder who is screwing who....? Rolex LV 'auction' Here's the close up of the dial...take a look at the massive CG's
  21. Well Kylie is the XS model of this other beauty from down under... (gotta agree with By Tor on this one)
  22. Good to hear pie law enforcement is strong outside US...These two were stealing pies in Texas since the Nixon presidency and nobody seems to put them behind bars...(I mean chocolate bars)
  23. Pugs! you never cease to amaze me! great info! Alex
  24. Welcome and one more thing...here's the 'book' to have/download ReplicaWatchReport ...the light will suddenly appear and you'll go down a path where the only victim will be your wallet and the assassin's name would be...Paypal... Alex
