  1. great review ! it had an pitstop at "Uhrenfreund" its a very good dealer - he usually sells the watches serviced - so yours prob had one. you did everything right - please don't let them change any tritium parts to SL ! and keep the silver datewheel ! i wanted to get one 16800 too - but to find a perfect keeper is very hard and expensive right now. so i got the neo-vintage 16610 with Tritium but nearly NOS. cheers, Frank
  2. well i bought and paid the Euromariner and the PT Sub - i think the only thing they share is the CAD-file of the middle case the engravings on the case are different, the caseback is different, the movement is different, the dial is different, the bezel assembly is different, the bezel insert is different, the bracelet is different ... did i miss something ? kind of reminds me of this clone MBWs that where selling some time ago. anyway - as i also got also a few PMs from other members : there is a urgent need for a V5 with better bezel assembly. yes - the gen bezel ring snaps in the PT Sub without problems - than the insert snaps in and stays there - this is not the case with the actual Euromariner and should be fixed pronto cheers, Frank
  3. sorry to say - but at the moment PTs is the winner - but we are talking on a very high level here
  4. seriously : i think all members that i know personally have at least 1 expensive gen - so there should be no problem showing them cheers, Frank

  6. come on - don't be such a pussy
  7. nice work ! thanks Chris for improving the watch ! i hope the problems will be fixed - esp. the 2 gaskets make no sense. i just got now slowly the gen parts for my "PT Supreme" or whatever Sub - its the same like WM9. i just installed a gen bezel and a gen insert and it snaps right in without any problems. this was not the case with my Euromariner - so i suspect they are not the same watch - i hope the problems will be fixed in Euro V5 when i have time a will post some pics of the PT Sub vs my Gen in modded state - but i have to say so far the PT Sub is the better Rep than the (also good) Euromariner. cheers, Frank
  8. im sorry that i had to miss that on ... but too many Panerais anyway cheers, Frank
  9. the one on the left for a (long) while cheers, Frank
  10. thanks a lot ! the Rep is the PT version but 100 % the same that WM9 sells. cheers, Frank
  11. Hi, finally i hit the 1000 ! so here some pics Gen vs Rep. note the gen is already nearly 20 years old - all Tritium - but in excellent condition. the Rep is stock from PT. maybe i will post more pics after i changed some parts on the PT Sub. enjoy ! Frank
  12. thanks a lot ! will try to check some of them out ... the problem is to find them here in Germany i don't like the sound of the usual suspects they show here (Canton, Heco, Magnat .... ) cheers, Frank

  19. interesting - reading some recent post i think BK is right - crystal recycling :-) maybe thats why some bezels turn hard or the crystal is stuck - i think a lot of glue is the reason. my insert was also floating - but i had the beta version :-) but the Clarks combo / gen insert works - put a little epoxy to secure the insert in the bezel - let it dry - and then press it careful in (i used a crystal press) cheers, Frank
  20. too much bling bling too heavy - too big. feels also not so good - esp. the bracelet is [censored] cheers, Frank
