my 2 cents : you should make a difference between watchsmith and modder .... and : someone can be only good as a watchsmith or as a modder the amount of knowledge of genuine watches is too high - (esp. on vintage pieces) you will find this only from freaks like us - but never from a watchsmith. as Replicas getting better and better there will be soon no need for "modders" anymore - but sadly still for a watchsmith that loves to work on Asia-movements. cheers, Frank

cool video mister Mahler + thanks again. at the moment i have everything but time on top the gen crystal for the PT Sub got lot in the mail but anyway i started to work on the PT Sub - its very easy to do the CGs with a gen sample one thing i noticed : the retaining ring (or how the ring is called that holds the crystal) is completly different from the Euromariner i had - maybe thats why a gen bezel fits. cheers, Frank

all i say - if you don't care about money - go ahead - throw away 200 $ but anyway : at the moment the Euromariner is ahead again with the Clarks crystal and latest updates - so WM9 is "out". Chris should hire some Rolex trained watchmakers in Switzerland - he could sell his watches for double price

well - how could i ? i mean - we have the same discussion for years. i studied the hole WM9 site - ready every lie that is published there - also the silly forum my goal was to find out if the Sub from PT is the same, thats why read it all ... yes it is btw. i dont want to repeat the whole crap that is published there but when i read "Rolex trained watchmaker "... this time in the states - not in Cambodia - like other scammers pretended - then its enough already for me i had a lot of "TW-Best" and "MBW" or whatever watches and compared to the PT Sub. i see a lot of similarities - a very nice rep - would be even nicer if it would be sold for what its worth ($250 imho) cheers, Frank

sorry absolutely spot on is different when i was holding my PT Sub in one hand - the gen in the other - well there are worlds between them . but with a lot of mods and $$ in gen parts its the best rep sub for sure and will stand the test on pics maybe but its still far far away from the real deal. back to topic : this George is just a little scammer with nice connections - i really can believe that some long term members starting to praise him ...... wasn't he selling the famous Noobmariner for 500 bucks ? isn't his website full of bla bla bla scamsite [censored] ? come on - this are the same watches we have for years now - they are getting just upgrades - no need to pay more than 500$ unless you really don't care about money. cheers, Frank

he told me he can make the dial - check the listing on ebay from NDT - but it takes around 6 weeks. sorry - no pics - watch is already on the way to the new owner ... i didn't repaint SWISS - but tried to kind of fake it ... i think its nearly impossible do do the painting by hand. cheers, Frank

you have 4 options imho : leave it like it is - even 99,99 % of the gen collectors think its real get a gen dial - not so cheap get a good aftermarked one - Michael Young sells them for 150$ or - paint it over - and age the dial with clear varnish or similar - that gives a nice vintage effect. cheers, Frank

Hi, in my opinion all parts - except the movement are made in Vietnam - Phong sells the same watch - i wish we could get a vintage Rolex of the same quality change the crown + tube and insert and you done. the biggest flaw is the dial : SWISS T<25 is wrong - that's why i removed it on mine. also it looks to new the movement may be genuine - at least my watchmaker thinks so. cheers, Frank

very very nice - congrats ! u sure you like it more than your gen ? weak points for me at these WM9s are the bracelet, lume, date wheel and crown position - (after you replaced the crystal, bezel + insert and shaved the CGs ) but all in all the best Role Rep you can get at the moment. cheers, Frank
