  1. That is a great pic LHOOQ!! And a classic looking watch! Today I switched to the Stølås Love that Lume!!!
  2. Good question. I have a Tudor MC being worked on and will probably finish it up in a few months. Other than that, I am very pleased with my current collection. I have a new 6 slot watch box from that Rainer group buy and it is currently full so I want to start following a policy that it will always be only 6 watches. Problem is, I don't know which one I would want to sell if I had to move one Of course, I could always move my custom Bulova that I rebuilt and store it in it's own case But I will have to do that anyways to make room for the Monte Carlo. Decisions, decisions!!!
  3. I have a friend with an old Bulova Tuning Fork movement and it is very mesmerizing to watch! That Seiko Springdrive is also quite stunning!!!
  4. Got my new watchbox today! Gotta say this thing is amazing! Thanks again for putting this together! Couldn't be happier!!!
  5. Hello RWG! I've done some quick searches but haven't found anything as of yet. Is there a decent photo tutorial for repairing a broken keyless works on a 7750 (or any other movement for that matter)?? If not, if someone can walk me through the steps, I would be happy to post one
  6. My two latest acquisitions are good for summer I'd say. The Stølås with the brightly colored NATO should fit the bill!!! And the SOXA
  7. It's even more enjoyable when you've had a few drinks!!!
  8. Nice!!! I'm sitting at home, nice and drunk from a few margaritas from the best little mexican place in LA Oh...and I'm still wearing my Tudor
  9. He's posted another auction to sell of the crappy drawings he made!!!! You can see it here
  10. That's about the funniest eBay description I have ever read!!! Great find Andy!!!
  11. Beautiful!!!! Nice pickup there!
  12. I'll have to defer to the experts on that one J! Not really sure, but I would imagine that a 2846 would be a good bet for the "accurate" slow beat
  13. There are quite a few watches on the bay with movements in them, but any one of them will most likely need to be serviced which could add around $150 - $200 to the cost. (maybe less, but I am trying to give a worst case scenario here) Do you have an estimated budget of how much you are looking to spend on this project?
  14. You are correct DP8. He definitely cracks under pressure when he is racing WRC. He hasn't done well at all this year which is too bad.
  15. Sweeeeeeeet!!!!!!! Looking good and the most important thing is that you love it!!!
  16. I have contacted a retailer in Australia that has several of the 45min conversion parts. They have everything but the 8000/3. They have plenty of the standard 8000's and they are looking into a source for some 8000/3's
  17. Bump to help out here. I too would like to find out more about this
  18. The engraving is surprisingly decent on the bezel actually. I am very confident that it wouldn't be difficult to re paint the numbers after treatment.
