  1. Hi Ive recently just bought the Rep Black Omega SMP and the End links of the bracelet are crap and way to shallow compared to the lug size. They are also very loose and not good at all. Also the underside of the endlinks look a titanium colour but not titanium, maybe a cheaper metal?? The end links on my Speedmaster are great and nice and snug and a good size. i tried swapping the end links from my Seedy to the SMP and they fit great. Does anyone else have this problem with their Black SMP rep??
  2. Just listened to the repcast Excellent work Keep it up!!! Thanks
  3. Actually you can get bead blasting or another process called aluminium oxide blasting and the SS comes out with a very dark greyish finish which is very close to Titanium. check out this pic. the bezel is done with aluminium oxide blasting and the case regular bead blasting. What do you think??
  4. Yeah i know it should be Titanium but maybe you can get the case bead blasted to look like Ti. as for the missing 9 oclock marker, i dont know what you mean. check out the gen here, it looks the same to me http://www.paneristi.com/reference/vendome...meframeset.html also your PAM 89, where did you get it???
  5. Hi All Have you seen the New PAM 89 Anthracite Dial from King?? The dial looks good, whadya think?? http://www.cclv.net/0.htm
  6. Yes im the same Its too high for an Asian 7750 Rep. But give it time and the price will come down as they say: "Good things comes to those who wait"
  7. as the titles says I can get 5x Brand New ETA 2892-A2 movements with Soprod Power reserve, the same as panerai PAM 27, 28 and 57. The movements are coming direct from Soprod themselves!!!!! so you are guaranteed the genuine thing!! Is anybody interested??? the price will be $300 shipped. Of course 1 is for me so i really only can get 4 for RWG. Joe
  8. Guys is it just me or has no one pointed out that the serial number on our beloved PAM 63's is wrong?? The Rep PAM 63 has a 'B' serial but the Gen has 'C' serial has this been discussed before?? check it out here: http://www.paneristi.com/reference/vendome...meframeset.html
  9. Well ive been searching to find someone who can bead blast my aquatimer 2000 watch as its only available in Titanium BUT.. Ive found this review of it http://www.time2watch.net/IWChome.htm And they show 2 versions: 1 SS and 1 Ti Maybe i dont need the Bead blasting after all?? or maybe it would look better in Bead blasted finish??? Is there going to be a mad rush for this watch now????? as its a great rep, bezel aside
  10. i like your enthusiasm but how many polls do you want to do I think the previous one you did is enough.....
  11. Im thinkong of getting an IWC Aquatimer as i really like the look of it but its in SS and the genuine is in Ti as far as i know. Id like to get the whole case bead blasted or sand blasted not too sure of the correct terminology... Does anyone know where this can be done or is there an easier way to achieve the Ti or brushed look on SS?? Thanks Joe
  12. Hi All Well the time has come for me to pack up and finally get ready for moving to Australia. Im going to Brisbane to go to University and do a Graduate Diploma in teaching. If all goes well Ill be able to live in Australia for good BUT....... Ive got 14 watches and as you can imagine am worried about getting through the airport. I have 3 nice watch cases though so they would all look the part. Im going with the Mrs so we'll have plenty of bags with us to split the watches between bags...... or maybe i shouldnt. What the heck should i do???. I also have lots of watch parts including movements, dials, hands, cases etc.... and lots of tools so if i were to be caught i could say im an amateur watch repairer (which i kind of am although just as a hobby )?? anyone have any idea as to the best approach?? Thanks Joe
  13. ah no [censored] expert dan???.......
  14. how about this one here anyone bought from this seller?? and is the bezel insert any good??
  15. I also want to see the GP Seahawk being made but i would like it to be a simple task for Jay and the manufacturers to make. Also ive just done a quick bit of searching on google and found that the GP movement is an in-house movement GP33RO and so maybe different from the ETA 2892 with soprod PR module. TTK do you have anything to say about this as you seem to know a lot about this watch - Nice comments please.......
  16. @ Chronos "Using the PAM028 as an example (one that I have)... the arrow faces up and goes from left to right" - The stem or whatever its called where the hand attaches turns CLOCKWISE "Now on the GP Seahawk, the arrow faces down and goes from right to left" - The stem turns ANTI-CLOCKWISE This is what im saying using the ETA 2982 with Soprod cant work. If you just place the arrow differently compared to the PAM 28 the arrow will move from left to right, left being zero power and far right being full power - oppposite from the Seahawk. does this make sense???
  17. Please please please correct me if im wrong but i dont think the power reserve on the Seahawk can be replicated!!!!! If we use the ETA 2892 with SOPROD Power reserve, i think the Power reserve indicator moves in a clockwise direction. ie starting from the upper left which would be zero and moving to the upper right which would be full power. The Seahawk's Power reserve is opposite to this. Its Power reserve moves in an anticlockwise direction ie starting from the bottom left which would be zero and moving to the bottom right which would be full power. So this to me means that the soprod ETA 2892 movement cant be used, maybe the Seahawk has a special movement?? Please someone tell me ive been staring at this screen for too long.....
  18. Does anyone have links for the omega SMP bond watch?? I need the links with pins NOT screws Any help is appreciated Thanks Joe
  19. double sided sticky tape cut to size and stuck at about 4 or 5 points around the bottom of the bezel insert. no hassle no mess and no risk worked for me, cheap and easy.
  20. This sounds GREAT is there any chance of IWC Ingenieur date wheels?? one can hope.....
  21. help me choose ALL FLAWS ASIDE which one do you think looks better? IWC Aquatimer - $208 from Trusty IWC Ingenieur - $279 from Trusty and also does anyone have an black dial aquatimer that doesnt get a lot of wrist time?? Thanks
