  1. Welcome back, and congrats on grabbing that college degree! I was just pleased that I was able to make a spare part from a different factory and randomly sold on this forum work in a 2yr old rep. That's satisfaction!
  2. If you have an iPhone or an iPad you could buy the kello application, which is a makeshift watch timing app. It does not work with some extremely quiet movements, but I've had good luck with my attempts and can get my reps to +2.5 secs a day which makes me very happy. There are tutorials on this Forum already for timing watches but in brief, you can use the fine adjuster screw up to a point but if this is not enough you have to carefully slide the larger "tab" adjuster for more gross adjustments. My latest rep was +50 a day upon receipt, but the adjustment tab and kello brought it down to +2.5 for me.
  3. Congrats to you, and many more!
  4. Time Shops charges a fraction of what other dealers do for many N-Factory reps.
  5. Remove the bezel and turn it on a lathe to make it a fraction of a mm deeper for the insert.
  6. I thought they did this to prove the movement was healthy before shipment.
  7. Unless I am mistaken, WBK has a very special price on the brown dial model .. it seems this is the least popular color and the factory wants to sell them at a discount. $80 in 21j ... if he has any left.
  8. Do they do this? I thought Andrew would tell him to jump in the lake.
  9. LOL!!! I waited until you had gone back into your house, then I snuck out and took the photo. I now remember you posting this within the last month. Your Day Lillies must be a few weeks ahead of mine; these are the first flowers of the season.
  10. Welcome to the Forums! Lets see some photos of your beautiful watches
  11. This looks very good ... when you get it, you will want to have it regulated. It is running +24 seconds fast per day. Do not refuse the watch because of this. All replica watches need some regulation.
  12. Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I really is my favorite piece, and almost 2 years old now. The combination of the latest Noob insert with the classic fine-engraved OGEV/RLS and thin markers only makes this better.
  13. Looking North along the rugged New England beach, built by glaciers.
  14. Just got this one from a Forum member in Germany
  15. I like this new model, and the new Abyss model as well. The lack of a interior plastic rehaut really makes for 2 entirely different looks.
  16. I see by your extreme close-up of the movement that some clones are now using an eight hole reversing wheel. One more way to tell the difference has been removed! The shock spring and the pearlage are my only clues.
  17. My precious original Eurotimez Swiss DSSD with Ziggy service and lume got it's bezel insert smacked on a metal wall a few months ago and I was just sick. The carnage!! When a member here advertised a current generation BK (noob) insert for sale, I took a chance and jumped all over it. To my dismay, the new insert's OD was too large by several atoms and it did not fit ... until THREE HOURS of sanding brought the size down enough that I could heat the bezel to expand it and then slip in the insert, and as the bezel cooled a very tight friction fit was created .. no glue. To anyone who thinks the Chinese can't make a real ceramic insert, and these inserts are plastic .. 3 hours of sanding and a full sheet of ruined sandpaper would like to talk to you.
  18. Arent the clasps swaged onto the bracelets? I should think you'd need a swaging tool to do this ... I'd like to do it myself on my 1680.
  19. I suppose he might have to buy a new rep CG with screws and potentially re-tap the watch case for the new screws.
  20. You can have a watch smith install a gen crown and tube but there is no guarantee the correct size and shape crown for your rep is available from Breitling. Just do the best you can. There was a project to find gen crowns for the SuperOcean Steelfish rep, but the correct piece just was simply not to be found. Most SOSF rep owners have stripped crowns.
