  1. WOW a TIME-O-GRAPH app for the iPhone ?? Nice!
  2. Welcome to the party. Enjoy your new hobby.
  3. I dont know a lot about VC but the VCO is obviously a rep.
  4. A 50 atm watch ... that's a 500 meter depth rating. You are saying you would not trust a GEN SUBMARINER for simple snorkeling. I'm absolutely not faulting you .. I know what "big balling" is .. it happens in every hobby. The tales get bigger and bigger until everyone who has an old GTO has a "Judge" and everyone with a Mustang has an original Shelby 500. Human nature .. and completely understandable. Unfortunately I feel that a lot of that big balling has crept into the formation of this guide for depth ratings vis a vis wearing watches in water, and it's not a helpful guideline anymore. It's a fish story; a tale of caution told by bearded men in dockside bars with shark heads on the walls. "Gather 'round me lads, and I'll tell ye a tale of water resistance that'll make yer salty hearts tremble ... yarrr."
  5. I could swear that there is a semi-scientifical, but much ballyhoo'd guideline for this ... taken from a "diving blog" ... or some such thing. It's been quoted here a few times ... TO THE SEARCH BOX! I'll edit this when I find something. edit: A quick Google search shows that a watch MUST BE rated to 5 Atmospheres (150ft depth) if you wish to wash your face while wearing it. Who among us could have guessed that the water pressure on my face is equal to that found 150ft below the surface of the Sea. Astonishing. Here's the link to the page with the chart, graph, info, and over-reactions. LINKY! I suspect lawyers were involved in the development and canonization of these guidelines.
  6. prsist, the pics you posted are over 3000 pixels wide. Could you please size them to at most 1024 across? thanks!! I love the watch ... I want one for myself. A better, less wavy crystal would be wonderful.
  7. To be more explicit, if you only believe that replica merchandise is thinly disguised junk then you've missed the point of this web forum and our community. We find and share sources of honestly good replica merchandise. Read the reviews and make up your own mind.
  8. and that is why you fail.
  9. While rose gold is not my thing, I can appreciate a beautiful piece of art! Well done
  10. Congrats and many more!
  11. REVIEWS of OTHER DEALERS section ^^^^^^^^ this
  12. I, for one, welcome our new Swiss masters.
  13. You can buy replica watches with real Swiss movements inside, vavoom. They last for as long as you take care of them, as any genuine watch would. We don't usually deal with the junk you find for sale on street corners, which I suppose you are used to dealing with, if you are asking about how long a replica watch "lasts".
  14. The POrikaa 42mm has a helium escape valve which is 2 or 3mm out of place. This hugely upsets some loonies people.
  15. If you like it so much, why not have Vaccum or Zig or The Katt adjust the dial to make it straight .... sounds like the least expensive fix ever.
  16. Welcome! If you have many photos to share , then perhaps look at the top of the page and notice the "My Watchbox" link ... this leads to an area where anyone can open a photo gallery of their own and upload their pics into one central location.
  17. The link isn't missing. It's just screwed up. Delete the word "Everything" from the end of the URL and it will be repaired. http://www.nippledial.com/2008/05/prototype-bracelet.html
  18. Look at my text, which you quoted By "it has a great ceramic insert" I mean that the ceramic insert is in great condition .. shiny, no dullness, the light colored numerals have never flaked or faded and there are no scratches despite having to buff the watch twice now for scratches on the stainless from normal use at work, play, and during gardening projects. Altho the body and bracelet of the DSSD are wearing normally and collecting dings, the ceramic insert is picture perfect.
  19. I dont know anything about Panerai but Welcome!
  20. I'm sure there are hundreds of messages from people screaming about having to wait almost 2 years for the prototype Sea Dweller to reach it's final form and ship. That is what people do on the Internet, after all ... lose it and scream like children.
  21. Hi, that's a great looking Noobfactory watch. TimesShop isn't a dealer on this forum so people here don't know about him. There is an area here called "other merchants" or something like that for reviews of dealers not set up for "trusted" status on RWG, if you'd like to also post your review in there. I have never purchased from TimesShop but I have heard of his astounding prices on noobfactory watches (GMT IIc, DSSD, Ceramic Sub, LV, etc etc) Wear it well, and enjoy it! thanks for posting.
  22. A genuine crocodile strap in black or brown would be perfect .. keep it thin ... I think a thick strap would ruin the look. Too many people buy a "$30,000" replica and keep it on the original "2 cents" strap.
  23. My Sea Dweller Deepsea is 18 months old now and has a great ceramic insert. I do not treat this watch like a museum display .. it is a daily wear watch.
