boug - It's important to remember that the small dealers like Mary (Watch International) can become completely buried under emails from this forum alone, so once you get her searching for your watch please don't send an email every day asking for progress. This is a very common newbie mistake. Then they get mad when the answers stop coming, due to the dealer being frustrated with too many mails.
Check in every couple of weeks, maximum.
Oh it's here. It shipped Monday and arrived Saturday morning (this morning) .. I was busy cleaning for a party we're having, so no photo shoot. There will be one, tho.
If you drop a watch in there, and seal it up ... you pressurize the chamber .. then seal off the pump to make the whole chamber static ... and wait. If the watch leaks, the pressure in the chamber will drop as the watch fills with air. The drop in pressure will make the colored liquid level in the tube rise or fall .. I cant tell just by looking at it. pg/min = picograms per minute of fluid?
this is all a guess.
The Zigmeister states in his list of services "bracelet and case refinishing" ... and he's one of the best this community has to offer. As one of the top modders/watchmakers in the community, he does have a waiting list. Just get on it and you'll be rewarded in time.
Both! The Mrs is getting a very sweet Hermes Birkin 35cm in orange Togo leather for her birthday tomorrow at half the price other places ask. Bergie is da man.
On a positive note, my EMS from Bergie was posted on Monday (the day their national holiday week ended) and arrived here on the east coast of the US today (Saturday) .. very nice
I'm guessing that Trevor gets his from the Noobfactory, just like BK does ... of course Trevor is not a modder and offers no "extra services" on his Sub.
Ah, I see. Well it doesnt get much wrist time, since it's a dress watch but my absolute favorite of the watches I own would have to be my completely stock "value watch" Senator Sixties. Once I get a gen dial for my silver faced Long Island Crazy Hour, I suspect it will catapult to the #1 position.
thanks to condemore for borrowing his photo. I don't have one of my personal watch.
Hey Tt .. I can't find Zig's old lume post where he shows the tricky dials he does like FM Crazy, etc .. lots of dials in one large mosaic. Do you have a handle on that post, or is it gone.
The Clark 25-127 I have on my watch has the cyclops too far to the RIGHT, not the left. And yes, on days with a 1 at the beginning, you can only see half of the 1 ... the 12th looks like the 2nd
I agree with MMA. It's not an older v3 since the diver's clasp is not missing a piece. It's a newer Noobfactory Cartel v3, but not the latest generation.
Agree. I would call this totally legit. You have a Incabloc spring in there, which is the same company which makes the Novodiac spring .. no problem with the different style.
I can not say for certain, Pete, but the 2813 and 4813 are based on the Japanese Miyota series, not the Swiss ETA series .. so my semi-educated guess would be "no" ... I could be wrong.
Concepta as far as I know has had Family issues recently and is not paying strict attention to the forums, as you might understand. I'm sure he's not snubbing you. Just keep trying. You are not going to find a better IWC rep than one with GEN dials, movements, hands, straps ... ETC ...
It's simple. The reversing wheels of a swiss 2824 have 8 holes each. clones have only 4. Also the balance staff shock absorbing spring should have 3 release notches, not 1 like in a clone. If the Chinese ever get off their lazy butts and fix this, you are in a world of hurt to tell an ETA from a Clone without being a master watch smith who knows what a Swiss tear-down should look like with regard to fit and finish.
