Is the big endlink gap incurable?

Can someone tell me how reliable the "crazy hours" jumping movement reps are? Will these things even last a month? I was thinking about Crazy Color Dreams Crazy Hours for my wife or daughter ....

Well Im just a freakin newb but the guy in the jacket could drive a bus thru the gaps between the end links and the lugs of his watch. Also, hard to tell in the phone camera but the pearl on the left seems a lot better than the one on the right.
