The ROO Safari uses a chronograph movement (AP Cal 3120 base with a Dubois-Dépraz chrono module). Your movement looks like the Cal 2120 (no date) which is a good movement but won't work on any ROO. 2120 Even if you had found a compatible chrono movement (there are some Hamiltons and Tags that use a similar movement to the AP), you will need a complete set of OEM hands and OEM dial. Those are hard to find and very expensive. So in short, I stand by my original answer, No.

I don't think it makes a difference since one of the main components will only be Chinese. Make sure the watch you're buying works correctly before pulling the trigger. The GMT hand should "jump" (think like when you are changing the date) in 1hr increments when you set via the crown. That's what you want to make sure it does.

I see no reason to go with the ETA. The GMT modification is Chinese so your movement would be at best hybrid. I have the A-2836 and I'm very happy with it. The confusion you're seeing about the GMT behavior is because the GMT module is not consistent. In some cases the GMT hand is not 100% aligned with the hour, in some cases the GMT hand doesn't jump to the next hour when you set via crown (like it should). That's a QC problem that plagues both the hybrid and the Asian. I was lucky and my Asian one works perfectly. Some folks have the Swiss and the GMT hand doesn't jump. Some have the Asian and the GMT hand is not aligned. I don't think this is a big deal but make sure you get good QC pics to see the hand alignment. That's all you can do now (unless your dealer is willing to send you a video or a guarantee you have a module that works as it should).

don't know yet. I'll let you know soon. I did some photo comparison using the size of the JLC case vs the VC. Considering that the Gen uses the JLC movement I'd expect the DW to align (finally) with the date window. If that doesn't work at least I can build an overlay out if it.

well I cheated and went for the original JLC date wheel. It's 99% there (the only small difference is the top of 7).

you probably already have your answer then. The gen PAMs and reps that use superluminova should be no better or worse than your Airboss. I really don't get the point of your threads and thats probably a good reason I should refrain from replying to them as you seem to either be getting the wrong idea from the posts or have an attitude I don't care for.

don't take this the wrong way but this is a little bit of non sense. 1) you should have better sleeping habits as waking up to check a watch is not a very healthy thing to do 2) as you are waking up your eyes will have a hard time adjusting to a faint dial, a digital one (or the Ball like suggested above) would be a lot more useful 3) have you considered an alarm so you don't have to worry about waking up to check the time?
