  1. T dial is the rep. The 'S's in T SWISS T are rounded; the gen should have flat tops/bottoms on the 'S'...
  2. I believe Ari's is actually the yellow gold Royal Oak Chronograph Classic (25860BA):
  3. Ahhh... So another Rail surfaces. The only other Reproduction Rail I've seen was for an Explorer 16550. This one is okay, but not great. The fonts are all off, as are the coronet, and size of indicies. The chapter ticks are decent, and should be fairly long in length. Also, one detail they got right is the 'T SWISS T < 25' luminous signing at 6:00. True Rails were manufactured by Stern, so the Singer stamping is incorrect. But who's going to be looking at the back of the dial once installed in the watch?
  4. I've always dealt with George directly, and have never had any issues; emails usually returned within 24 hours or less. Seems rather odd that communication would just drop off...
  5. Did you discuss the purchase with George prior to placing your order? If yes... Were your follow up emails addressed to the same email addy as your prior discussions? Also... Have you checked your spam folders to see if maybe he did send a reply, and the message back was flagged as UBE?
  6. That one won't fit unfortunately, as it's for a 16660 SD; the diameter of the crystal is a bit smaller on the SD (right around half a mm if I recall correct), so you'll need one specifically for a 16610 or 16800 (This one would work).
  7. It's a stunning piece!
  8. ROFL... I greatly dislike doing CGs!! One of my least preferred mods to do...
  9. Wrapping up the week with these... Fri: Sat: Sun: Have a great weekend! //ubi
  10. You'll likely need to file down the back to get it to fit with a slight bit of recess. The good thing is, if properly done, it's possible to achieve a snap in fit instead of having to glue it in place.
  11. Congrats on your minty new beauty! (just saw it elsewhere...)
  12. Ultimately, there are many factors to successful postal tracking, however all of which are outside of anyone's real control At the 10,000ft level, successful tracking depends on the country and post system/agency that the parcel is being delivered from and to. Then, it's up to it's respective employees to correctly scan each item as it is checked in, both at departure and arrival, as well as while it's in transit anywhere in between. Let's hope that the postal agencies in question have a decent network infrastructure that can process the necessary data and correctly reflect that output via their servers and databases so that when a tracking number is queried on their website, it displays correct, relevant and timely data. Now let's look at the average U.S. Postal employee. Most of them don't give a fuck about anything. Throughout a number of different places of residence that I've had in my lifetime, the numerous mis-deliveries of my neighbor's mail to my house (or vice versa) will attest to that. As these agencies are government operated, you can be rest assured that no tax dollar was spared in paying off other politicans, visits to the strip clubs and flying on private jets; hopefully there's enough left over in the budget balance to pay for the necessary equipment for these agencies and facilities to operate The list goes on and on, but the bottom line is: Providing a service for people to track their parcels while in transit is just silly, and should obviously be a low priority for anyone expecting a delivery as a customer
  13. I suppose that a good indicator on their popularity is how many of the listed reps on the secondary market are actually selling Or new reps for that matter? Might also be an interesting study to view this from the gen perspective as well. There will always be a loyal following of the brand in either rep or gen sectors But there may be a number of people getting bored with them as well (as with most any watch design, one can only do so much with the same styling year after year). And, sometimes people move things around to get an updated or improved version as well... T'is a difficult trend to guage...
  14. 6305 with an A296! And in immaculate condition... That is quite the find!
  15. If the pusher broke off fairly easily, then I have a feeling it was likely bound to happen sooner or later, regardless of whether you took the watch apart or not. The easiest answer would be to try and procure a new pusher, or possibly a set of pushers to ensure that they at least match. It may also be a good opportunity to find a better set of pushers if, say the original ones on the watch were not quite as accurate to gen (sometimes the case). You may want to check with your dealer and see if they can help with parts. Some can... Some can't. Or, maybe someone out there has a dead watch that they would sell for parts? Sorry to hear about the problem though... I definitely know and understand what you're dealing with
  16. I think AR simply adds an additional quality and improvement, thus enhancing a watch's aesthetic value. However, I only have the application done when AR should be present in relation to a watch's gen counterpart. i.e. if I'm building a Rolex, I do not have my crystals AR'd as it would be technically incorrect for the watch. However, that said... If I bought a gen watch that came with an AR crystal as standard, I would probably have the factory coat stripped/removed and redone with Chief's AR. To me, it's worth the cost and level of effort as his AR coating is superior to most of the factory jobs out there. And having had the pleasure of living the chief AR experience, I can absolutely say that I've been spoiled; it would be hard for me to accept anything else...
  17. Heh... Well, I'm looking on behalf of a friend (female) who has expressed interest in a large watch, but feels that the larger 45mm Radiomir (i.e. Black Seal) may be too big for her liking
  18. Awesome! Thanks, sir! I'll start from here and see where it takes me Cheers! //ubi
  19. Just wondering if they still exist? And if so... Who's got em? Danke!! //ubi
  20. Indeed, chief... That IS a work of art!
  21. Hmmm... In my opinion, I'd say that bezel, dial, hands and datewheel are a must for doing one of these. If you do one, you kinda have to do them all to balance it out. If you don't need to do the bracelet, then that will knock a good portion of cost off the total. Of course, the other nice aspect to building is that you don't have to buy all the parts at once. Pick up a dial here, a set of hands there... And later on, get ahold of the bezel... Spread it out. Plus, it makes the building process more fun. While it's great to have everything come together all at once, it also takes the fun out of anticipating the next move...
  22. Yo dookie, pick up the phone!
  23. There's only one man I would trust to do lume work... And that is why my dial is with you
  24. Indeed... Those FM dials do look quite intense. After doing one of those, a vintage Submariner dial must be a snap to lume up in comparison, eh?
