  1. Ughhh... I've got a spare tube here, but in testing it, I can't get a crown to thread onto it I can send it your way if you want it, but I have a feeling it's not going to do you much good...
  2. What do you have currently fitted? The standard MBW tube? Or did you swap for gen at some point? I'll see what I have as far as parts go for you...
  3. Thanks, A! I did indeed explore the idea of a 7836, but the folded links are just not my pref 78360 heavy link fits my requirements, though! This has been a fun project thus far... Moving along a lot easier than I anticipated...
  4. Yeah... The 9411 has come and gone. Great watch... Lots of fun to build and was a favorite in my collection. It was just time for something different... Maybe I'll build another down the road sometime
  5. Ahhh... Yes... The 9411 was parted out. The snowflake parts live on in ChiMan's new 9411 (dial, hands and 25-125); the old case was reassembled into a new watch that was sent off to a friend of justasgood's...
  6. Happy first year, S! Here's to many more... Cheers! //ubi
  7. Thanks, gents! I'm probably going to wait for some other bits to arrive before fitting the hands; I just tracked down a nice set of pushers, and so those are en route now... OSRep- Thanks sir, and you are absolutely correct- This one is nearing completion, and as it's got some momentum going, it's kinda hard to slow it down now Plus, it just seems a bit serendipitous as the parts I'm after for this one are turning up fairly easily. Right time, right place? Perhaps yes Joerg- The watch currently has a rep bracelet and rep endlinks fitted; the bracelet is a hollow link 93150 copy, and the ends are labeled as 503B (which are completely incorrect, both for this watch and the wrong ref for these endlinks as true 503Bs are polished center ends without the stabilizer tabs specifically for ref 16520): Incorrect 503B ends as fitted to my 7032... And these are on my 16520... This 78360 will likely be finding it's way onto the Tudor before long, however... LHOOQ- I actually picked up this Tudor as a way to more or less pass the time while coordinating the details on my primary project... I'm kinda fiddly when it comes to down time... Too much of it, and I start getting restless! Cheers! //ubi
  8. Artisan can plate SS... Rhodium Plating FAQ What are the most common decorative objects that Metal Arts Specialties plates with rhodium? Our most popular items plated with Rhodium are products made of sterling silver. Silver chains, bracelets, cuff links and holloware being the most frequently plated items. We are also plating stainless steel watch cases and men's accessories with rhodium to replace their original chrome finishes. So, it seems as though the case could be plated, but of course you'd still not have the true weight of 18k 750 gold as the base metal...
  9. That's quite the hybrid movement there! Pretty cool, Gran... I dig it.
  10. Absolutely phenominal work, and what a way to make an introduction! Welcome!
  11. Franken 42mm 4th gen for Thursday...
  12. You can probably get the case rhodium plated... Which is essentially what white gold would be (rhodium plated gold)...
  13. 'Fork you azzhole' -Ahnuld Schwahtzenegger; any Arnold Schwatzenegger film
  14. Wow... I'm not much of a gold guy either, but I dig it! Looks great! What'cha got under the hood of that one?
  15. Unfortunately, no subdial hands But I am more than content with hour/min/stopwatch sec! I gotta stop spending on this watch and start focusing on my primary project...
  16. I'm not sure how I missed this one, but congrats! This one is a stunning example and looks great! Top list of parts in this one for certain! I bet it rarely sees time off the wrist, eh?
  17. Whoa... That's a HUGE difference! VERY nicely done! Completely changed the look...
  18. No guarantee that they can assist in something like this, but it never hurts to ask. If anything, maybe they can at least point you in the right direction...
  19. I think anything could be possible, but it would probably require an order minimum of xx units (think maybe 100) per run in order to get it started... I'd check with King, Polo, etc. to see what might be necessary to get something like this going...
  20. LOL... I'd have to agree to that! But building is a ton of fun
  21. Interesting... Very interesting indeed...
