  1. Probably best to examine the tube threads and replace the gaskets prior to reusing, but I've reused genuine Rolex tubes before without any problems. They've pressure tested just fine (and I would absolutely recommend a pressure test prior to real world use).
  2. 21600bph 7750s will usually accept gen hands as the pinions *should* (heavy emphasis on should) be the same size; don't take this as a hard fast rule as there's likely combinations of mish mash A7750's out there cross fitted with parts depending on what's available in the assembly line bin. 28800bph A7750's will almost always have the larger subdial pinions and smaller center seconds pinion than Swiss: Swiss- Hour 2.00mm Minute 1.20mm Center Seconds 0.25mm Subdials 0.17mm Asian (28,800bph)- Hour 2.00mm Minute 1.20mm Center Seconds 0.20mm Subdial 0.20mm I'm citing Swiss ETA measurements as the standard to compare against as that is what gen brands would use in their watches (hence hands are made to fit Swiss). Measurements originally from Zigmeister I believe. Hope this helps... //ubi
  3. Could not agree more with this statement. As for your situation, vly- How much tension is left in the spring bar? If you're using gen 2mm springbars, those should hold fairly sprung for many, many R+I's and are what I would recommend for use. Aftermarket springbars are usually quite weak and give way after compressing 3 or 4 times in the lugs during fitting. They fail pretty easily. If your springbars are retaining their tension after numerous fittings, then the procedure as outlined by Zigmeister is correct to ascertain the problem. Hopefully it's as easy as cleaning out the lug hole...
  4. You'd be surprised how much lumi service hands actually cost. Far, far below what you might expect. Healthy profits are being made from these sets selling for $100/$150/$250...
  5. Another recommendation for offshore/Watch Bitz! He's got a great tool set for an extremely reasonable price. Hard to beat.
  6. I'll join DL with another Pre-A 002:
  7. You know I'm always just a phone call away! Always glad to be of help...
  8. I just love that crystal profile...
  9. Phenominal... That's the only way I can describe your luck! You are always in the right place at exactly the right time! I'm psyched about your acquisition! That is one hell of a score you lucky duck!
  10. J- Looking sharp! I love that tux style dial! Let me dig around the parts box; I might have a flatter bezel for you to try.
  11. Looks good indeed! Very nice bracelet!

Completely understand where you're coming from, sander! Could be just as Andy said; the expertise and effort to perform that level of modification is not something that just anyone can do I know that I most likely could not perform that task! Yikes! That's a very complex bit of work!
  13. One of these days, I need to pop it out so I can send it in for AR I should also do the gen crown/tube swap as well at some point...
  14. Agree; narikaa's are an excellent value for the asking price.
  15. Oops. I forgot to clarify; that is my PO crystal... 42mm 4th generation PO checking in... It's one thick mother--!
  16. 3717 franken for Sunday: Cheers! //ubi
  17. Don't know the exact height measurement, but it's THICK!
  18. Happy Birthday, buddy! Hope it's a great one!
  19. One thing to watch out for; the dial feet will may be too long when fitted to the 2892/1120, as the 2824 from which it came is a bit thicker. You may need to take a bit off the ends of the dial feet, otherwise the rotor might not clear them. EDIT: Disregard; I read in your thread that the dial is gen, so it should fit just fine.
  20. That'll be killer! Was contemplating the complete 6542 PA from NDT at the time I bought my MC; price was not terrible... Actually quite decent.
  21. Slightly darker result on the bottom insert... I really need to start writing down what I do on these to achieve the different tones.
  22. PM me your address; I'll mail them to you if you want them...
  23. One from my latest batch. This one turned out a little too grey...
