  1. That PVD just soaks in the light like a sponge! Gorgeous contrast with that strap, BTW!
  2. Incredible! I'd hate to even wonder how much time it takes to lume something like that... Challenge is an understatement!
  3. Gotta love JLC, but I'm with BT. If I were to buy a dress watch, it would be a Breguet La Tradition. So funky...
  4. Smokin' hot, Lani! That's a work of art!
  5. V2 and V3 all use the same movement. The major differences are the dials, and the AR quality on the crystal. V3 is better than the V2; V2 has all of the hour indicies lumed, which is incorrect; only the 12:00/3:00/6:00/9:00 indicies should be lumed. V1 is better than the V3 as the indicies can be removed and new markers can be created. Movements in all are the A7750; slow beat, high beat or hybrid between the two. No telling what they might put in it, as the factories likely use whatever they have available to them while assembling.
  6. Holy--! That MOP looks phenominal! I can't believe that $138 is the entry fee to this beauty! Reps have come a long way, my friends...
  7. Just jump starting the weekend... Saturday- 16520 franken: Saturday evening- 3717 franken: Sunday- 9411 franken: Have a great weekend! //ubi
  8. Actually, if we were ever to have a GTG, we'd most certainly have to get a room; I'm thinking a ball room of sorts, lined wall to wall with tables. Cause if Lani brought all his watches to the party, we'd need a room as big as they come to house them all; maybe a warehouse is more appropriate. Afterall that's a lot of watches! P153- The hands on mine and Lani's are gen I procurred the set on my 9411 from our own great Zigmeister. Parts breakdown is as follows: MBW case ETA 2783 Genuine 9411 LePrelet dial Genuine hands Genuine T-125 crystal Genuine insert with aged pearl Genuine bezel (slightly over polished) Genuine crown Aftermarket tube Drilled lugs Shaped CGs Genuine 78360 links Genuine 93150 clasp Genuine 580 end links Lani's is like a mirror image Only his is minty new, and mine has that worn, wabi'd look
  9. Holy smokes! That 600T Graph is a serious chunk of metal! If I were to sport that, I wouldn't be wearing the watch; it would be wearing me!
  10. Temptation may be getting the better of me!
  11. Let's get some positive karma going, Lani!!
  12. The more and more I see these, the more I love them. The black dimple is really quite striking; you are absolutely correct in that the dealer images do not capture the true beauty of this watch as a whole. The only changes I wish they'd make are: -Closed case back -Silver number tag -2 piece bezel (ring and insert) -An offering with the rhodium dial If they addressed these four details, there'd be no question; I'd have to get 1 (or 5 ) of these gorgeous watches!
  13. Feeling inspire by his recent posts, I took some quick pics this morning of Lani's 9411 twin. Born just a year apart and residing 3,400 miles away from one another, this watch and Lanikai's share a strong connection and bond; seems that a lot of the life events and occurrences that have been taking place on a personal level between Lani and myself have been shared and observed, coincidentally begining around the same time I finished and sent him his watch. Strange? We think so Anyways... Some quick pics. Sorry for the sub par quality... A well worn Oyster: Thanks for looking! //ubi
  14. There you have it- That looks like a great tool indeed, O/S! Nice design, and with the blade configuration, this means that lifting the bezel up/off will be even and level; no risk of warping or bending. That's the way to go, methinks.
  15. I hate to say it, but I'm sure that a good portion of members here have been scammed by sites like these at some time or another; myself included, several years back by Idealwatches/Replica Center. For me, it was a learning experience; an expensive one, but I have to say, I did learn my lesson! Unfortunately, I don't think there is much one can do to retaliate. It's beyond me how these sites can stay in operation; especially considering that some are even U.S. based! You'd think these would be prime candidates for easy pickings from a legal standpoint. Rather, the best thing you and I and any of us can do is to raise this kind of awareness on the forums. RWG was created with this in mind- To warn of the scams.
  16. I think you'll be fine to soak the case with bezel Good luck, Bertie! Let us know how it goes...
  17. Bertie- The Oxyclean trick only really works for the Ti models; if you're trying to do this with a polished SS case, you might not achieve the results you're hoping for. With regards to removing the bezel; you need a very sharp knife to wedge between the case and bezel to create a slight gap between the two surfaces. Once you've created a decent gap, you can use a caseback knife to work the bezel up and off the case. This is difficult to do without marking the case since we're talking metal to metal contact- You may need to polish any scratches out once the bezel is removed. Removing the bezel on a gen is much easier since most have a notch for the caseknife to fit into; the reps lack this convenient feature. Someone may have a better solution for this task; the process outlined above did work for me when removing a few of my bezels, however. If you can, I'd say leave the bezel be if you don't have to remove it.
  18. Perfect? Yes... I'd have to agree 100% my friend! I'd call that complete!
  19. Holy---! Too much for mere words. Absolutely amazing that you have a bezel that not only fits, but works! You better go and get yourself a lottery ticket... I just showed Jess- She LOVES it! She cannot believe the transformation... And neither can I! Enjoy that beauty, buddy! It's much deserved! And big kudos for P153 and Nanuq! What a great community
  20. If he met Lani face to face, he'd be begging to give him his money back AND to keep the watch.
