  1. I really like the effect that the depth of field produced in the first pic of the Blacksteel Gives it an almost dream sequence kind of feel to the image...
  2. Gorgeous! Great pics and lighting Some excellent photo subjects as well!
  3. Thanks, gang! Oddly enough, these images were rather 'meh' in color; it wasn't until I converted them to B&W that I really started liking them. Still not sure what to use for the new background moving forward, however Lani- We'll coordinate a call with kruz sometime soon. I spoke with him for the first time in over a week yesterday; he's had a rather eventful past few days as well! R- Here's your pic Thanks again for the very kind words everyone! As always, much appreciated! Good night, RWG... //ubi
  4. 3717 franken for Christmas Eve Merry Christmas to my RWG extended family! All the best... //ubi
  5. It's cold and snowing outside today; a perfect opportunity to try out some new pics. It's been a while since I've picked up the camera, so I thought I'd try something a little different. Gone are the usual granite backdrop with color hues displaced by greyscale tones. Thoughts? I'm getting somewhat bored of the granite and looking for some new ideas
  6. 16520 for today: 9411 for tonight:
  7. Merry Christmas, Hike! And Merry Christmas to my extended family on RWG! All the best this holiday season! Cheers, //ubi
  8. I have to echo the prior nominations- Lani and Omni for the win. A pair of fine, exemplary gentlemen, and two of the most generous souls that I know. These guys set the bar for excellence.
  9. I second the suggestion of a movement overhaul. Mechanical movements require a precise amount of oil for lubrication; too little or too much can cause problems, and using the correct viscosity is also necessary for reliability, accuracy and longevity.
  10. Seems China EMS has been dragging it's ass on the carpet these days. Of the last 3 or 4 items I've ordered, each of them has taken roughly 9 - 14 days to arrive; the longest duration of that wait being in the air, in transit (i.e. sitting at the 'left country of origin' or foreign dispatch' status), etc. and these were purchases made in late October/early - mid November. The good thing is that the stop over in customs has always been consistently short, so once it touches down in the U.S. you can likely expect your parcel in a day or two from clearing customs. The wait is always the worst... And the best. Before long, you may even learn to love it.
  11. Been loving mine... The gen movement makes for a huge difference, even if it's hidden behind a closed back.
  12. Just passing through... Have a ton of PMs to reply to. Will try to be a little more frequent of a visitor Monday- 3717 frankenstein: Tues- 16520 franken: The countdown to Christmas begins Cheers and Happy Holidays! //ubi
  13. Definitely of fantastic pedigree! It's a beauty!
  14. For me- Definitely an Alain Silberstein Bauhaus: I've always found this watch to be fun and interesting, but have never ventured further than just looking.
  15. Mine should be arriving shortly. I plan on either converting it into a non-IWC dialed project, or maybe gifting to a friend. Depends on what it looks like when it gets here...
  16. This one is its_urabus' now, but a couple of old shots...
  17. Might want to expand your search/request by posting a WTB in the trading section. You may get a bit more exposure from folks who don't necessarily look in the IWC section on a regular basis. Good luck on your search.
  18. I think even gen watches can benefit greatly from Chief's AR!
  19. Great pics, though I can certainly understand how you feel about getting good shots! Very difficult to achieve the type of desired pics with such a large, convex crystal. I do think that if you got the crystal Cheif AR'd, you'd find it much easier to capture the images you are after!
  20. Good stuff! Thanks for all your hard work, team!
  21. Yeah, mine started as a V1; one of the original EL 100. My watch has: -Genuine IWC dial -Genuine hands -Swiss ETA 7750 -Swiss DD wheels (Day is in German ) -Chief AR No other mods. Might swap to a gen movement sometime down the road; I've got other IWC's to work on for the time being, however I have to say that the 3717 has become one of my all time faves...
