I'm sure they can, but they have a ton of surplus XV cases and dial plates to burn through first. The hands were also originally used on the white dial XV rep as well, I think. I have two theories regarding the XVI. This is just conjecture, but it seems to make sense (at least in my head). 1) The factories are testing the waters with this watch; plans of a future, better and improved XVI may be contingent on whether there is any demand for it. or... 2) The WM9 initiative may be similar to their 16610 project in that the design will likely be a premiere under their name, but will not be 100% exclusive to them. We may see an improved XVI to be released that isn't WM9 labled, per se. But prior to this happening, the factories are trying to move this left over stock of parts so as not to take a huge bath on the expenses incurred in producing these items. The XV was, of course not an accurate watch and neither is this roll out of the current XVI. To be stuck with these items would be taking a loss; probably a decent sized one at that, as I'm sure nothing would move with a better XVI on the market. What's really going on is anybody's guess

Unfortunately, the only AP reps that seem to be addressed on a consistent basis are the Royal Oaks. Jules Audemars, Millenary, etc. are generally not as popular (with gen or rep), so there isn't quite as much focus on those models; there are a few, but they seem to get lost in the shuffle of Royal Oaks and Offshores. You may have better luck finding that Cartier Pasha, however...

@Hike and Brodie- Maybe try that JacksonTse fellow. I think he can get spare crystal gaskets...

Bertie- As has been mentioned, no need to pop the bezel- The crystal is not seated by the bezel, but rather sits in a chanel inset of the case: And the crystal gasket sits in this lip, like so: Somewhat similar to how the crystals are installed in the old 16610 Subs, like the original Noobmariner. You will need a rather large die for the bezel to sit against while you're pressing the crystal out, however.

Get it on a timer and see what the beat and rate is doing. Might just be a simple adjustment.

Proof that money does not = taste! There are some things that should be left alone, like a vintage 300SL. Rare, expensive... Endangered species That is a sacrilige! However, there are plenty of Subs out there where one or 250 less in circulation won't make much of a difference. Still, I'd have probably subjected such mods to a rep before a gen. But, I suppose people are free to do whatever they want with their money.

For a 1500, you need a 2846 to properly align the stem with the tube; this particular movement gets you the slow beat as well (2836 would work, but the beat rate is too high at 28800; 2846 is a little high as well at 21600, but much closer to the 1570's 19800bph). If you can get your hands on one of Stilty's rings, it would definitely make this project a lot easier. You will also need one of Eurotimez' flat top 3 datewheels, and it would also be wise to have the hour, min and sec pinions swapped out for the taller gears to clear the high profile indicies that Rolex likes to use on their Date, DateJust and DD dials

If you have a WM9 with Clark crystal, you can install just the crystal and gasket prior to installing the movement. Once you have the crystal in place, fit the movement and dial, and hold the movement center by also inserting the crown and stem and thread it down to the tube (this keeps the movement from shifting). At this point, you will be able to align the crystal so that the cyclops is centered over the date. Once you have achieved your preferred alignment, drop the movement back out and press the crystal/retaining ring on over the crystal. At least, that's how I do it...

I don't recall off the top of my head, but I believe standard issue 7016/7021/9401/9411's came with 9315 bracelets, and I think 380 ends. The M.N. mil issue examples, however, only came on NATO, I believe.
