  1. $1400 seems to be a pretty fair price. Especially if it's a pre-Tiger model...
  2. I especially love the 44mm Nav-B with base, unmarked dial.
  3. A wonderful posting, pollux. It's amazing... The inspiration and drive that all children have; even more so for your angel. I know grown adults who lack that kind of determination... Cherrish each and every day! From a fellow dad, all the very best... R
  4. Thanks, Dani! I hate being sick, but I should have expected this- My son just returned to school this week; some sort of illness was inevitable! B- I'm using a Canon Rebel EOS XT these days... Still getting the hang of it, but so far, I'm really enjoying it!
  5. Thanks for the well wishes! I'm feeling better already... Fever broke this morning and sore throat is subsided. I think if I just take it easy tonight, I just might be able to salvage some of my weekend! Cheers! R
  6. Fri- Home sick today with the flu, so nothing. Saturday- Sunday-
  7. I think it should? http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/cou_us.shtml
  8. I was at one time, quite interested in the old TW Best gold models. They had a very nice example of the YM, Submariner and DD's. I don't recall what method they used on the TW Best, but I could have sworn it was an actual triple wrapped application. They also had an interesting rhodium plated Masterpiece... Never got around to picking one up, though...
  9. Agree with F333- Be careful with Cape Cods around brushed finishes! I myself use Klasse car wax on my watches. It's a synthetic car sealant that works well, has a slight polishing compound (so again, be careful on those brushed finishes) and provides a nice shine.
  10. Those will not fit Pinion sizes are not the same; 3035/3135 and 390 all have different sized, proprietary pinions (I seem to recall the Rolex pinions being smaller than ETA).
  11. Looks great! Interesting movement; was this a pocket watch converted to wristwatch?
  12. Oooh!! Very nice, G! Be ready to start spending some money! Those lenses tend to really add up!
  13. Good stuff there, R! I gotta say... Chief's AR looks better than gen! If I had to do any AR work, the answer is clear (pun intended).
  14. If you insert the stem and turn one direction or the other, can you feel it engaging any of the gears? i.e. can you see the hands move?
  15. Thanks, pugs! Coming from the resident photog expert, that means a lot to me! Will keep experimenting with shots... And yes- Methinks that a reversal ring is in my near future! Cheers! R
  16. Ahhh.. How could I forget! These little gems will make the install go 100x easier! Definitely worth the small investment to do the job right!
  17. Okay... Took some of those pics and cropped. I dig the results!
  18. MD- Looks great!! All your time and patience finally paid off Off course, that seems to be how things always work out, right? Get fed up with a project, so you end up buying gen. And just a few weeks later you end up with the project finished anyways. *sigh* Enjoy that beauty! Good stuff indeed!
