  1. Pretty killer dial on that 1600
  2. Despite what I think about the Sky-Dweller I do have to say that it's interesting to see Rolex finally getting into the concept of complications on their watches. Though I still feel their new designs are pretty bad. To me, I think it's maybe more to do with the oversized cases paired with the relatively small bracelets. The combination just looks terribly unbalanced...
  3. Not really feeling anything produced by Rolex within the last few years. I think I'll stick to the vintage stuff; from a time when they knew how to build great looking time pieces...
  4. Stainless steel vintage Day-Date franken for today...
  5. To clarify- Did you call a Cartier boutique, or an authorized dealer of Cartier products? Might have better luck going through an AD.
  6. Tracking is only as good as the people scanning the bar code while in transit. I have tracking numbers to items I rec'd weeks ago that still indicate 'Origin Post is Preparing Shipment'
  7. Gran- I like that ML big date! Very nice!
  8. Thank you, Prospex! Much appreciated
  9. Have to say, chief AR is definitely a must-do on these...
  10. One of the great details about this specific watch has to do with the bracelet pins. If I recall correct, Andy took each individal pin and gave the head-ends of each pin a nice satin spun finish. Definitely a great watch.
  11. In general, I agree with a lot of your list for the innovation involved and the significance that each design/concept represents. However, somewhere in there I'd probably include something with a tuning fork Even if just an honorable mention.
  12. In addition to the classic Heuer Monaco and the Reverso as being amongst my favorite rectangular designs, I also love this old El Primero... I keep meaning to pick one up...
  13. Wearing this one for the big leap...
  14. ETA movements don't have balance weights on the balance wheel. However, movements like a Rolex 1570 does have balance weights; they are along the rim and are placed between the microstellas like so: However, a balance with screws and weights is just one method implemented to adjust rate. When you have a balance wheel without the weights/screws/microstellas, etc. the adjustment is done via regulating arm.
