That's why I like going slow with the hand file. It allows you to review your work periodically so that you can judge what needs to be worked on more (or less). Much better than taking too much off and not being able to put it back on after the fact

Try letting the watch run with the crown unscrewed from the tube. This will let off any pressure on the stem, and will tell you if something is binding or not.

A couple of interesting observations... In the first ad, the fellow on the left looks like he is going to club his friend in the back of his head. Perhaps to knock him unconscience to take his watch? In the second ad... Look at the CG's. They are straight, and not angled at the base. Must be an old, old ad Good stuff. I always enjoy seeing these Rolex ads...

No hack on the OPI, OPII, OPX, OPXI 6497 movements, but you can do a psuedo hack- A slight bit of back pressure to the crown when setting the time will cause the seconds to freeze; once you let off on the crown, the small seconds will resume. This also works on some other manual wind movements as well (I know my Swiss V23 does and Omega 562 as well)...

The dial I am working on will be completely unique to anything available as of current. I'm having this dial made from a blank canvas... With specified details with regards to font, colors, etc. The first prototype is being produced; hope to have something to share with everyone soon.

T'is nothing, sir. The bezel is very easy to pop off. I use a debit card to wedge between the case and the bezel; the plastic of the card is soft and won't scratch the case. Once removed, you'll see the washer spring. It may be bent funny, or there might not be one present at all.
