  1. The new crown really adds to the overall package. Very nice upgrade!
  2. That's a killer piece, Robert! Very nice!
  3. Think of it as... Motivation Yeah... That's it!
  4. Ahhh... It's going to be like that, is it fellers? Okay... Changing to V72 to match the vintage Cosmos...
  5. Might want to check around the edge of the caseback; there may be a small lip for a case knife blade to fit under. And of course, be careful when prying it open. Don't want that knife to slip. I rarely have to deal with press on backs, but when I do, I usually wear a thick leather glove on the hand holding the case.
  6. The Omega looks like a press-on caseback. If you have a case knife, you can probably open it up to have a peek at what's inside
  7. Chi- If you're going for a 1675, don't forget to swap the crown to a 5.3mm!
  8. What's funny is Ken Block is relatively new to the art of rally driving (started in '04 or '05, iirc). Not bad for a guy that initially started off with a skate shoe biz...
  9. BTW, gen crystal will also fit as well as a gen crown and tube (but the tube will require some additional work to get it to fit the case correctly).
  10. Gen dial and hand set fits: Gen bezel fits: Gen bracelet fits: All wrapped up, it'll look like this...
  11. The pusher is fixed/attached with a small circlip from inside the case. Should be a simple matter of opening the case up, uncasing the movement and refitting. If you've never worked with handling watch movements or repairs before, I would suggest finding an experienced and competent watch repair shop or watchmaker to handle this task. Should be fairly simple, and if parts are missing, they should have something on hand that they can likely use (i.e. that circlip, which should be floating about somewhere inside your case still).
  12. I think it's looking AMAZING! Quite the change from when you first set out on your adventure! I don't think your Grandmother is going to believe it's the same watch
  13. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.... Zenith...
  14. One more... We miss being there already Heck, I missed being there before we left our hotel room to check out...
  15. Was he as tastey as a Disney Land churro??
  16. That statement is true. The last fake watch I saw was on a cut out cardboard person. That watch, comprised of a photo which was also printed on cardboard was definitely not a real watch.
  17. A few days late, but better late than never?
  18. arewethereyet?arewethereyet?arewethereyet?arewethereyet?arewethereyet?arewethereyet? I've touched base with a friend to start obtaining several of the small bits
  19. Looks great! I am sure that your Dad is going to love it!
  20. My personal experience with aging is that nothing yields better results than actually just wearing the watch. Wear it every day for xx number of months and wear it while doing everything. And if I really want a watch to look beat up, I just let my wife wear it for a week I myself feel that a watch doesn't have to be beaten up to look it's part, however. I used to really like the look of heavy patina and wabi, but my preference has changed over time to preferring the look of a well kept, well cared for example. They still have their wear and tear marks, but I don't think a case has to be shaken amidst a jar full of screws and coins to look 30 or 40 years old either...
  21. Been contemplating one of these for some time, but the 'Automatic' and Swiss Movt' signed dials the seller had offered for the 2824 kit always kinda turned me off. Your unsigned dial has me thinking I might need to take another look, however Great looking watch!
