  1. Wearing this: While cooking this for dinner:
  2. Cool. You routed a small channel and filled it with silver paint? Did Pan-Am commission Datejusts as well? I have some extra rep DJ case-backs and I think a trip to the engraving machine might be in order!
  3. A non-permanent glue might be OK if used sparingly but you don't want to get any in the works or have it strong enough that you will mangle the dial if you need to take it off to repair something like the keyless. Dial-Dots are extremely sticky but allow the dial to move around a bit as they are pretty soft so care must be taken to not disturb orientation when casing the movement. Another alternative would be the double-stick tape used by trophy shops to stick the little brass plaques on trophies. It is thin, strong, and rather firm.
  4. Engraving, hmmmm...
  5. I have some non-COSC dials that aren't too bad...
  6. Really a nice looking box, is that silver inlay around the edges? Oh, watch is pretty slick, too!
  7. Y'all settle down. I am going to have to be caught up and in the correct frame of mind before this particular surgery is attempted...
  8. No, most likely never will be...
  9. This is what the ofrei bars look like in a hole drilled with a #55 bit, chamfered, and blended...
  10. Everybody must be sleepin' in...
  11. These came from a "grey" source but watcheden shows them on their site now.
  12. Better late than never, I suppose...
  13. Actually, no, eyes are gettin' old. If it wasn't for a Nikon Stereo Microscope I wouldn't be able to do much of anything more intricate than changing a band and would still be wearing a Seiko Quartz!
  14. You also might want to remove the bezel and crystal and apply a little heat to the area to loosen/soften whatever thread-locker or sealer might have been used...
  15. You pop out the little ones and glue on the big ones! The markers usually have a little stud/[censored] on the back which located into a corresponding hole in the dial. Secure by pressing the marker all the way in and a dod of epoxy on the back where it pokes through... I can't believe t-i-t got censored!
  16. You can always "transplant" the markers from a maxi dial such as the Sub LV dial. That is what I did when I built my fantasy Maxi No-Date Dial.
