This is a recurring drama,. that, it seems thanks to some of you posting in this thread, will only understand years from now, when you have seen a few more episodes.... Too bad that some can only learn from personal experience...and don't give a care about the community as a whole..
-
The Unity in this forum,.. needs serious work... What some of you are demonstrating the selfish attitude of... 'As long as I don't get burned,.. then f*ck anyone else..." We see the same when it came to Edge's revelations about the dealers who sold as eta,.. cheap Chinese movements.. When some members now post their little 'reviews' with prefaces that totally ignore the thievery aspects while speaking only about the price fixing, if that.. Regarding Joe's return times.... which if you do your research is the only the tip of the iceberg... Who would say two years .is 'late'? .. If that is the case.. lend me a watch for two years,.. I'll send it back .. promise,.. as long as you pay postage both ways and then a fee for looking at it.. Even it were a year,.. how about 9 months...? Does that make it better...? Does his personal health make a difference..? I also wonder how many of those that posted positive, currently have watches at his workshop...?

Where to begin....??? Ubi is the true essence of what we all should stive to be like,.. he's all about positivity and love of watches .. replicas in particular, and is always willing to help out with his genius for modding and wonderful taste in the classics.... Most Definitely one of the Gems of our forum !!

I purchased a few from Jay's low priced site,... the outer holder for the swivel was made of a low grade metal.. though he was supposed to fix that issue... however as I write this one sits here and still runs after two years... He has a better model on his prime site,.. though it's not the duo.. it does have a date wheel,.. something that the other models lacked.. including those that I received from Andrew,.. though he seems to have the same model now.. {purchased from Andrew pre-revelation bad business practices..} Regarding accuracy however,.. Jlc made so many different models... the variety of reversos is so staggering that it would take an expert or reverso nerd to know them all.... I do however find them a bit chunky for such a small diameter watch,..
-
I actually prefer leather on most of my watches... as I find the gives me much more versatility to match my clothing, activity or mood.. not to mention that it's much more comfortable,... that is if you stay clear of deployant clasps...

...Here the cycle starts all over again... We need to keep in mind that Joe is running a business,.from which he receives some would say, more than fair compensation. He's not doing this out of the kindness of his heart. Therefore he needs to run his business like a business,.. and we should not allow the kinds of percentages of wrongs go on .. dispite any individual's personal positive experience,.{which is only doing what he was paid to do} We need to look at the collective results.. If a dealer here were to rip off say... 30% of his or her clients,.. would we allow that to continue because of the 70% who say they received their watches as paid for,.. or because he claimed to be sick ? This is a community,.... let's look out for everyone here and stop supporting those that deceive or steal from other members.... not just from you.. What goes around ... comes around eventually....

There you go.. Pamela also has some goodies worth squeezing.... Try the 196...my favorite pammy of all times,... or the gorgeous 212.. Can't miss with either of them...
-
'Legal' Replicas,... Like Invicta or many others,.. I have Zero Respect for them.. Cheap Chisling Crooks... Daylight Purse snatchers wearing plastic tennis shoes.. While we on the other hand,... are master jewel thieves, going in at night and disabling million dollar alarm systems, performing acrobatic moves and getting out clean....

Montbrillant Datora to be released..........
Richard Tracy replied to b16a2's topic in The Breitling Area
I don't know about anyone else,.. but it took me two years to get used to the busy dials of Breitling,.. Then once I did, and purchased a Navitimer or two, and was looking forward to a Chronomat buy,.. Now this ? Enough to make me dizzy again.... I wonder however .... if The Zigmeister will even work on these... ? -
Looking forward Kruzer,.. My 5 year old daughter just brought me her piggy bank... what a sweet kid,.. she's saving for her bicycle... but told me that she could wait,... I gave it back of course...
-
Just in case anyone has a 22mm strap,..that they love.. it will fit 21mm lugs with a slight squeeze... I routinely fit even 2mm larger straps into smaller lugs just for a wider band look that I have grown accustomed to post the pam craze...

We need more of these types of independent projects and I applaud Old Uni... His piece has turned out the be the best Iwc to date I would say ... and that is not easy for this brand ... I just wish I could afford one..

Just wanted to say that Sash has been a bright star from day one and to this point has remained flawless... Great to have you here Sash... we were lucky to get you !

I hope Eunomians is right, that it will be a mega seller,... which would justify us presenting it to Jay for alterations... though compared to others that sell large quantities the flaws are not so glaring... so I guess it's the size, or maybe it's simply not known about... For me 39mm is a size that I can wear when I want something that calls for understated elegance,.. The piece that most don't notice how gorgeous it is, until you take a closer look..then Wow !
-
Thanks for the input guys ! So it looks to me like it comes down to simple re-printing on the dial... and maybe, if we want to go further,.. though to me it's no big issue for me,.. the lume bars at 3-6-9 should be thinner and longer. Anything else glaring, without having to build a whole dial ?
-
Thanks Sam_tgg ! I think this model is a gem that's been hiding.. I read that review Pug and a great one it is,... however this model is not the same face style as the black dial. The subdial numbers are exactly as the gen, also there are no white rings to deal with. Take a close look at the gen silver face model.... If there are other differences other than the inner subdial plate, please someone chime in... Click to Enlarge..
-
I was never one with the eagle eye.. and can only spot a small inner circle area difference... Care to share your vision ?

You Too ? I thought I was the only one ... Love that piece, and was going to suggest it to Jay.. In the mean time however, I don't mind so much the 3706 existing rep... it's pretty darn accurate as far as I can see... Scoobs1971 photos above are of the New release, however the rep is of the older model, see below. Genuine 3706 on Left, Jay's on Right Click to Enlarge
