Oops.. late to the party,... Of course,.. a Very Happy Birthday to our By-Tor !

You describe weapon control as a Trend'?? "Our country was founded,.because we refused to listen to the older society"? A few questions,... How old are you ? What is your education in American and World History? How long has your family lived here in America ? Why have you not served our country ? How many countries have you travelled to or lived in ? Trying to get a gage on what factors breed this myopic, arrogant mentality, and find out what, besides being born here, makes you assume that you hold the microphone to speak up on who 'We' are, where 'We' come from and where 'We' are going...?

I think we need to chill on the subject of race,....... This board was an oasis from the very sort of misguided ideologies and myth masquerading as fact, that we are beginning to read in this thread,..!

I'm an American, Ex-Military, however have the sense to look to older or more progressive societies for examples of what is reality in human nature, and in life. Most Americans don't realize how young our society is...and how far we have to go to gaining a worldly outlook... We are great, creative, individualistic people,... Yes,..but many of us are like the Ancients who thought their cities were the center of the universe... when during those same moments, there existed other societies in the world, that had answers to problems that would have saved millions of lifes, if only minds were opened and pride based upon relation to pigmentation, or culture, was viewed as solid & stable as gaining height by stepping upon a block of ice. Look.... Walking barefoot is easier, the less broken glass you have around you. No different than the common sense goals to keeping Nuclear arms down to a minimum on earth.. is the reasoning behind the fact that the more guns you have on the streets, the more bullets that go whizzing by....

Second hand has slight stutter, but keeps OK time
Richard Tracy replied to Rob1's topic in Movement Q&A
How many automatics to you own ? Most have slight stuttering,..though I would guess that you should have The Zigmeister clean & lube yours it being a Asian 7750.... -
He acknowledges that his inventory needs a boost in variety, his sites need revamping,... and he may need to hire some help, as he's got several watch projects, and businesses.. going all at once, but he's working out those issues... As far as service, attititude, and price, however,.. with over a decade buying reps, and dealing with most every dealer, several times,..I have never experienced better over the years I have known him..

Maybe this will finally kill the trend of wall clock sized watches,.... After the fashion dust settles, 40 to 42mm will remain the standard sizes for men..
-
Great to see you around Jay,.. ! When you get a chance,.. keep us posted on your progress in our RT forum.. http://www.rwg.cc/members/RT-Watch-Polls-f129.html We are so excited to see what we have coming ....

Relax,.. if there is one dealer out there that you don't have to worry about,... it's Silix,... though imo, nothing should be timed for delivery on any occasion from the other side of the world, it goes triple for contraband.. You need to understand that there are many potential snags between them and you that has nothing to do with 'weirdness'.. and everything to do with the logistics and hazards of the game... As a side note, a month or two is not unusual, nor is a few day lag in e-mail.. Don't burn your bridges...
-
It's not a Chinese issue,.. All replicas which are manufactured for wholesale to any dealer, will suffer from quality control, because the dealers don't have control,..the manufacturers do,.. and their goals are to build for the cheapest cost possible, which means hiring un-skilled assemblers.. It takes special orders, or better yet, dealer owned factories,... to make the difference..
-
Iwc Inge,.. the manufacturer used a cheap paint that cracked along the dial edges, and a band with a incomplete weld on the clasp,..
-
It's a combo of issues,.... First a huge back-log of e-mail that built up during the Chinese New year.. Next, he's spending a ton of time building his new line from scratch... Lastly, he just got back from a few day pressure release trip.. Regarding the Group buy,... He got cut up pretty bad with that last one, and though he will respond out of politeness, he's not too keen on getting into another one, especially with a new release, as they are usually dinged with problems that he then must address with very low than profit margin... which results in a loss,.. and last time, the word 'loss' dosen't come close to the reality of what hit him... Not a good deal,..and is another reason he's working on his own line...
-
Lovin that VC,... I wish I could have snagged that one ! Does anyone know if Jay's top end version is 42mm ? His size measurements are usually wrong...
-
Looks like a Hubot,.... Some would consider it a bad luck piece.... Could anyone here wear the totally rusted out model ??
-
Just found this one... Great for a grand detour into a classic world of watch photos.... Enjoy ! http://ninanet.net/watches/launchpad.html

Hmmm,...TTK posting updates on delivery delays... A very good omen indeed !

Just a time to re-group and re-route is all,... Nothing to lose our cool about...

Beautiful Piece ! Angus is still a dealer in my book,.. as he built this piece for us taking our suggestion and working with our desires ! I wonder if he will also do some with the numeral dials,.... and off-white faces...?

Review of my Vacheron Constantin 31 Days Retrograding Calendar
Richard Tracy replied to Pix's topic in Other Brands Area
Really ? I thought the date functions worked.... -
Another safe & smart route into a Asian 7750, is to buy one tried & true from the trading forum... Usually if they are going to fail they do so within the first month or so....

I actually prefer the perpetual hands and over-all look... I think there is one in 40mm... That would be perfect for me.... -
Yes, there are rules for just about everything, from how you hold your fork, to what color your socks are supposed to be..however, those that try too hard to fit in, are really the most uninteresting sort of people for me. As far as I'm concerned, individual style, within limits, is fine for just about any situation,.. and I tend to gravitate towards those people who think for themselves, as they have turned out to be the ones who have anything worth listening to or working with, and are the reason we enjoy every new invention or change that improves our lives... I do stress, however, that personal style, to me, is something that does not scream, flash, or is oversized, which are attemps to impress others, but is personal, subtle and there because the individual self derives personal pleasure from it.

Makes me kick myself that I lost out on this piece... You should get more my friend... I'm first in line !
