Those Aquatimers are gorgeous ! I can't decide between the black or white.. Black seems more uniform, but the white has those beautiful gold hands and accents. Maybe both ???

Interesting subject,.. I don't think it will ever happen, watches will probably be around as long as we measure time, but,.. what do you think would happen to the price of mechanical watches, if they ever did stop producing them ? Would we be able to go out with few hundred dollars and bring back a chest full of gen Swiss ? Or would the prices skyrocket for the remaining left in existance ?

Well after experiencing the views of you Swdivad, and Slay, I can understand it more than before. I guess if you compare it to the funds it would cost for a 063/2893 w/mods, I can see your point. I guess we don't realize how many people know nothing about panerai, which makes your's a good choice. It's a great looking piece, Enjoy it !

Angel & Jay not responding to my E-Mails.
Richard Tracy replied to Jaymoi's topic in General Discussion
Thanks Ryyannon you are right. Jaymoi, Personally I don't think it fair after months to come back.. as I said before anything can happen in that time frame,.. I personally know people that are just plain hard on watches, not saying it's the case with you. Not to mention that the asian 7750 needs servicing & understanding to own,.. It's not the responsibility of dealers to guarantee it past a certain time frame, which I feel you have passed,.. but I am not Jay, or You, so you do what you think wise.. Just do us all a favor Jaymoi, keep the futures of all of our relationships with Jay in mind as you deal with him. We are in the motions of trying to get him here in our board... if you understand the perks of that. -
I love the looks of the watch, but .. and please don't take this the wrong way,.. it's just me,.. Though most companies, no matter their status do a bit of style stealing, this knock off thing is like buying a legal replica by changing the name. I hate the concept of it, and it happens even with cars,..especially Japanese and Korean autos taking the styles of the Europeans. Look it's a Jag,.. No,.. it was just a Hyundai,.. Anyone that knows watches will think it's a Pam, until they get a closer look at the face, then that glazed look will come,.. 'Oh,..Nice watch'... Happens to me all the time,.. I think a spot a great Rolex, then,.. it's an Invicta. I can see the bold case design, and it's a great looking piece,. but I would not pay that much for a knock off, even with the swiss 7750. That's why the prices on most style stealers are very low, even though they have complications and swiss movements that make us green with envy.... IMOP ..

Angel & Jay not responding to my E-Mails.
Richard Tracy replied to Jaymoi's topic in General Discussion
Jay & Angel just got back from a long car trip,.. the mail has piled up sky high and they are shoveling to get it back down to normal.. so be patient, and whatever you do don't throw more mail onto the pile. Also don't worry about your watch, Jay is 100% customer friendly, though in 5 months a lot can happen. Question, is this a 7750 ? If so did you get it serviced ? -
Eddie is away on vacation till tuesday,. so no worries, everything will be answered when he gets to his office, however you know how backlogs can build up over long holiday weekends so be patient. Also though you may or may not receive tracking, depending upon if your watch has been built and shipped, you should expect confirmation of your order.

Richard Tracy replied to thomasng's topic in General Discussion
Hey Thomasng, if he doesn't want it send it my way.. I just opened my cereal box and waddaya know.. No Cap't Crunch Watch !! Seriously, that's a beautiful watch man, and a grand gesture ! -
Ethan, Ken is indeed a Gent in a class of Gents. I have read his posts for eons it seems, & I have never seen him on the wrong side of any conversation. Not as easy as it sounds on a board, where one is free to throw bags of water from heights unseen. Some may accomplish this feat by gracefully sidestepping any thicket of trees that harbors potential shadows, but not Ken, he will dive head first into bar room brawl, duck flying bottles with the slightest move and speak directly to a point so clear that calm after the storm, instantly replaces chaos. So when I learned that it was He, Ken, who was going to be the father of a new board... I could not envision a riper soil to plant a root into, as Ken is all about Watches, Friends and a Good ~Time,.. I have felt more free moments here than anywhere on the internet, in close to ten years.. Ken, I apologize for making fun of your back... I had no idea that the diagnosis was going to require surgery, I was hoping and knowing it was just a sprain, the kind I'm so familiar with. Regardless, You will be fine, it's only a matter of ~Time, and what better way to help it to pass, by giving us a place to gather together with other's that appreciate the observation of ~Time and the mechanical representation of it. Just know that we are all here to assist you in any way we can, even if it's just to give you a fight or two to referee. Thanks for this place Ken, I really appreciate the oasis and hope to plant a few fruit trees !

I will let you know after I design and receive mine... though many here can attest to his genius much better than I.. Ken, I'll will get Jay here... that's what I do.

Thanks Ethan, I can tell from the detailed e-mail that I just received from him... that your every word is the golden truth ! He taylors every band to a particular watch and wrist.. Fantastic..! Just the sort of band service I have been searching for.. now let's see if I can afford this service with my whole collection..

I'm sure Eddie has already shipped any orders that were completed... this is pertaining to those on the list, who have not completed or coordinated a hold with EL.. Thomasng I have pm'ed you. Everyone that has a situation, please contact Eddie,. don't leave it hanging, the future of such offerings by our dealers to our boards, depends upon it. Thanks...
-
Yes, he said he's going to do that on Tues when he returns to his office... so if anyone missed this offer.. there may be some watches for some lucky persons to hook... Stay tuned... {not including those of course, that have contacted EL and requested holds.}
-
Will do Ken,... also in conversation with Jay now.. have you contacted Jay ? If not please chime send and him a personal invite..
