  7. Hmm where was the information about $459 being the price of the blue version? From what I read on RWI there has been no announcement of any price difference or increase?
  8. Nice one mate, that would be a dream for me! Damn I wish there was a school here in N. Ireland! Do I need a pressure tester and timing machine for now? They are crazy expensive and I suppose if I'm just starting off I wont need them? The thing that seems the hardest to me is when I mess up the balance spring or hairspring when removing the balance [censored].... Is there any guides that show a complete tear down of how to disassemble the parts on a balance [censored]?
  9. Thanks for the pointers ceejay! Do you service your own movements?
  10. Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmf! I think I'm having a heart attack! Those are some seriously beautiful pieces!!
  11. I am maybe going to look into buying some oils and equipment to try and service an ETA 2836, I'm a beginner and will be a while before I will be able to carry this out properly but what sort of equipment and what models or types in particular should I think about getting? I know this is quite an open question but things like ultrasonic cleaners types of fluid etc I will need to get and have no idea what would be the best value for a beginner. I have looked at which oils and greases I will need for an ETA 2836 so I think they wont be too much of an issue. Many thanks for any advice or suggestions
  12. If they have a tendency to fall apart anyway I think your better to get some new pins and bond them in or get it welded
  13. Oh boy oh boy oh boy! I've just snatched up a red black bay. I hope I bond with it, the next step is to get it a little blue brother to sit along in the watchbox
  14. Is the gen already out or is it in the pipeline? I think i'll pluck for the rep if it comes out but that blue version is BEEE YOOOOU TEEEE FULLLLL
  15. Hey guys does anyone know if there are any plans for a Tudor Black Bay blue version? Cant stop looking at photos of the gen at Baselworld!

  17. I used a satin varnish spray dusted over lightly and smoke aged it to dull it down a bit buddy
