  1. Haha well made you look. Its actually an Invicta Pro Diver I had lying around. The movement was dead and I initially tried to sell it on for someone else to play with but I loved the dial work too much to throw it away so I bought another cheap Invicta to take apart for the movement transplant. After I got the movement swapped I thought it would be a good chance to turn it into a nice modern day interpretation of a big crown homage. I began shaving the crown guards off and fitted a nice non graduated bezel insert with ofrei pearl (relumed of course) and put in a nice domed plexi crystal front AND back on the display caseback. I then found an old big lollipop seconds hand which I broached to fit the NH35A movement. The result..... Pretty snazzy looking
  2. Yea yea yea I seen you with the new range of lipstick for men.... Remember? I was at the counter buying cream for my roids?
  3. Surprised no ones said it yet... Man up you homo... Only kidding
  4. Another thing that puts me off a gen BB is I was at a watch store in Boston a few months back and the BB on show there had specks of dust and dirt under the crystal! Either someone had a go at taking the watch apart in the store for whatever reason or Tudors QC from factory was quite poor. Im not talking about loads of stuff under the crystal but there were 2 noticeable particles that I seen easily with the naked eye
  5. My problem is $4000 or so which isnt much more will get a very nice used Rollie. I love the BB and I'm extremely tempted when the blue version comes out. If a blue rep gets released I'll maybe take it for a spin first.
  6. Yea I think once you see the 100 other watches in a similar price range the decision gets a lot tougher. The gen Tudor BB is still quite pricey is it not for an eta movement? Or am I being a bit tight?
  7. Looks sweet as a nut. I'm tempted by the new blue version seen as Baselworld....yumm
  8. Yea to be honest you'll probably end up spending loads more trying to find correct parts to fit then maybe buggering up the movement anyway. Sell it on and buy a new eta clone version
  9. Not sure what size the new breed movements hands are. You might be better saving yourself the hassle and ordering a swiss or clone eta movement version instead
  10. No I believe these new movements are crap and eta parts will not fit onto it. Not sure about the dial but I hear the hands dont fit
  11. Hey Del Boy welcome! P.S Don't be a plonker all your life and post more often!
  12. Yea I suppose its not really worth the hassle. Aw well part of the rep game....
  13. Hey congratulations mate! Very impressive and great that you've been here that long. Its really interesting to see how far reps have developed. I remember my first el cheapo Tag Heuer Link I bought in Tenerife from the lookie lookie men when I was 14 (14 years ago!). Rusted and corroded like mad after 2 days and I needed up throwing it out of my hotel window haha.
  14. Only one word for this.... BUMMER looks like I'm in the sticky hands of the Chinese postal gods
  15. I'd love to go to Hawaii! Looks like a relaxing place to be, maybe next year
  16. Hey guys looking some advice. I received the wrong watch which was also DOA from a dealer before Christmas and sent it back to China for a refund. So far 2 months down the line it still hasnt showed up and is most likely lost in the post. The watch was worth about £140 and I can only claim a max of £50 but its better than nothing when they've lost my post. Now in order to make a claim from Royal Mail in the UK I need to show what was in the package and the value of it. What do I do for this? Since the return name and address was not on any paypal payments I received or sent and I have no proof of value of the watch, not to mention I cant exactly send them photos of the broken rep to fulfill the checkbox of "Description of contents including photos etc" Would it be possible to send them photos of another watch and show a highlighted payment from someone else to make the claim or would that backfire? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  17. Hi mate I might have a few of these somewhere from an old navitimer rep I had. Let me have a look for you
  18. That is absolutely beautiful. Snow cone anyone?
  19. Hmm I quite like the explorer 2 16570 white dial with cream tritium lume. Hard to judge though I haven't seen one in the flesh
  20. Could be the spring or tube which connects the stem to the crown is buggered?
  21. Man up! Buy a new watch to remember Vegas by. Then hide it from the wife and tell her its an old one you've had for ages hahaha
  22. Yea i know what you mean, I'll have to keep a look out, hard not being a patient man. Going to try find a decent Tudor 7928 if possible so which ever comes up first I'll probably pull the trigger
  23. Thanks Freddy, I think 36mm is ok, not too small for modern wrists and with a more straight forward design of the datejusts / explorers they wear quite well. I think the plain bezel and no date or cyclops of the explorer helps make it wear bigger. I actually have an old gen Seamaster 34mm and it wears just as big as a Datejust because of the dial size and the thin case profile.
