I need your help about a problem with a TD
Big Dazza replied to prdubis's topic in General Discussion
Hmmmm might be useful if the TD hasnt responded to name them so others here have an idea? Can you contact the mods at RG to see if they can step in? -
If I was going for a white dial chrono again it would have to be the Omega Broadarrow with blue markers and blue hands. I had one before and one of my biggest regrets selling it.

Sweeeeeeeeet! Loving the polished look!
-
Damn I thought I had deleted all those photos! Got me without a watch on too!
-
Ai I'm the opposite, parents from HK but living in the UK. They sure do. So many high end watch shops and massive billboards! It's a pity there's the postal risk because there a huge bargains to be had there.
-
Yea I had to get it at that price. Are you from Hong Kong Archetypal?
-
I can vouch for Hong Kong being very competitive for gen prices. I got my gen Breitling Chronomat Evolution for £2300 which was around 38% off list price!
-
This sounds great haha. I'll send you a wristie. Only thing is.... can you send me plane tickets to take me to a nice beach? The ones in Ireland are very cold this time of year and would make for some hilarious photos of me in speedos.

Looks nice. Would be a great watch for the summer sunshine!
-
It does glow. I reckon I can make some that doesnt glow without too much trouble. I like my watches to glow though. Just need someone to send me some dials to be a guinea pig

I've started working on trying to get this effect more accurately. I think I've found a way of doing the very fine pin holes. Problem is I have no good dials to try it on and I dont have a 20X loupe to take good photos :S Had a go at a 12 marker (a bit thick but was only a test) and also spread a bit on a blank dial to show the effect better. What do you guys think? Probably cant see it clearly enough though
-
Yea thats a pretty good point but I have someone in USA that can sign for it there and bring it back after so shouldnt be too much of an issue
-
Well I heard back the photos are not of his stock! No thanks!
-
Sent him a pm hopefully he'll be able to help
-
Not overly impressed so far. Asked for more photos and been told they dont have anymore and pretty much wont take anymore to send to me. Makes me wonder if the watch seen is the watch I'll end up getting
-
Yea watch out guys.... im currently returning a sosf because it came with this new 21j non eta clone movement even though it was stated as a 2836 clone. Had to go through a lot of ball ache to even be allowed to send it back and now the vendor is ignoring all contact so fingers crossed I get it refunded....

Hmmm pretty tempted to put in an offer, read some good and some bad things about Beckertime. I'll sleep on it and see in the morning.

I think I seen one that sold a year ago for about $2000 so basing my value on it and to be honest it looked in good nice. I am setting my heart on a ref.16000 because I'd like a quickset date.
-
That looks great. I kind of want a gen though but have no idea where I could pick one up at a reasonable price. How much should a gen cost roughly? Im thinking under $2000 without papers would be ok.
-
Well since an early age I've always wanted a Rolex. It was always a submariner I've lusted for but now as I'm getting older I'm able to enjoy more understated pieces. I first started looking for a ref.1600 but quickly changed my mind due to the non quickset movement. My question is what do you guys think of a nice smoothe bezel Rolex Datejust 16000? The more I've been looking the more I think the 36mm case would be a good size for me, even though I usually wear 40/42mm watches. Any tips on where to get one at a reasonable price or even any members here with one? I reckon this kind below with the silver dial looks great!
-
Hello and welcome all the way from Ireland!
-
Keep the original dial as it is. If you're getting a new one installed just put the old one aside in a safe place (in a tub or holder which wont be knocked about). Decide some other day now's not the time (sure whats the point when you arent putting the old one back in straight away?) You may regret reluming it in the future if you do it now on a whim. Thats my thoughts.
