Nice Pics mate Congrats Not so sure I agree on the chrono pushers though, having had similar concerns myself even back with the older versions and having searched (and using simple ratios) many pics and angles the best being from case back shots...I think if there is a difference it appears to be with the angle of them rather than the length. Of course the finish is slightly different so again it could be that, that gives the impression

Looks like the truth is out !! This is my best PAM but I decided its time for a new home, if anyones interested I could throw in an original Parnis CG for a little extra !!

Blimey mate thats a big question or rather a big answer..basically the lot!! The CG of course is full rather than cut off, REGTM is better positioned, pin is flush and full fitting plus highly polished, case has a better shape especially the lugs and the flat hull boat shape side on, the crown is better though still a bit thin, the crystal is better especially the AR, the dial has better texture and finish, the inscriptions are crisper and closer to gen colour, the LSML is better placed around the 6 though its still slightly off but the 286 is better placed, the rehaut is better the Tachy is correct size and again all markings are crisper, CB is accurate and individually serialed like all new PAMs, bezel is a little bigger but a better shape, the CG lever is better shape where you catch it with your thumb, the chrono pushers are under polished and slightly too long though it could be the angle of them I cant be sure, the movement is the older version asian but its OK and isnt a big thing for me on the wrist. The brush work is much better overall and also lume is pretty damn close to gen the numeral shape and lume height is also pretty much there. Overall its a very nice OTB rep for your dosh Give me a couple of days mate I will pop one out for you and post pics and measurements ( I have an electronic calliper)

Nico, yes mate I believe you Just dont ask me to believe your track times !!! ;) As for the crystal Ice man, the difference is night and day IMHO. This crystal is better for sure, the distortion is better and the AR is almost spot on but as with all rep dome crystals on these they arent anything like the gen... Its hard to describe or even show in pics but the gen has a very distinct flat top, it almost looks like you have a 44mm flat crystal stuck on to the crystal walls of the dome whereas the rep looks like a dome of crystal. There is no sense of that flat top and the edges of the flat top that you can see at an angle on the gen. I tried to capture what I mean using the gen crystal on my 47mm Franken, if you look at the edges of the top of the crystal hopefully you sort of get what I mean... I know PF has worked hard to try and recreate the dome crystal for these and Bart is putting a run together of 1:1s hopefully they will create the look I mean Also the overall look of sapphire is much better than the rep in terms of clarity and light transmittance.

Recieved this recently again as with the 253, 177, 219, 111 and 286 I am really impressed with the value for money for less than $235 shipped I think this is a great rep OTB. Of course it has it flaws but overall a nice buy I decided in the end to put a burgundy croc strap with dark grey stitching on it, I originally had this strap made for my 177 but I didnt like it but by chance I tried this and I really took to it looks Tabac in darker light and a great shade of burgundy in the bright day light.. Makes a nice change to the other straps I have. The strap seems to bring home the closeness of this look to the 288 look, not that I mind Just need to get those 1:1 crystals delivered now!!

I recently got a 212 and couldnt decide on a strap for it....I tried a gold cashmere, Swiss Ammo, Egyptian sand and a light brown alligator. Then I remembered I had a burgundy croc with dark grey stitch from Mario (Orloff) I had ordered this for my 177 but although I really liked the strap it didnt work as I had hoped with the Ti. So I put a dark JV (Also from Mario) on the 177 which I think looks great. Any way I tried the burgundy and I have to say that I was surprised at how well it worked on the 212 !!! In bright daylight it has a distinct burgundy tone but in average lit rooms or darker rooms its almost a Tabac brown. I tried to capture it in the pics but I must say I really like the look to the traditional CFs guys put on these. It almost gives it the feeling of a formal watch similar to the 288 but with CG etc. ( Yes I know dial is based on them but this can have a very sporty feel to it especially with a CF but this strap gives a great new look to that) Once again Mario was quick to make with fast delivery and a fantastic price. I have bought a good few off him now and he is now my first choice when it comes to that OEM look especially as all the ones he does for me are for deployant Thank you Mario
