Surely a fake watch is an item pretending to be a watch... I wear a replica Seriously though mate ..... I dont see that as an issue nowadays given what watches are made of generally whether rep or gen And the fact most places that make reps also make gen parts

Would a gen owner do that? Or are these models different like antiques...you know when they say dont polish it etc If so how would you affect the value - significantly? If I had a gen watch from new that had a bad scratched crystal I would replace it like I would the windscreen on my car...

Plenty of places as you can buy spring bars in various diameters. ebay or Watchbitz in dealers section Though I get mine from a local watch dealer

For me personally when it comes to wearing one.... the simple answer is "They dont" I really like to look at them, appreciate them and see the evolution of them to current watches of the same brand... I tried with a few vintage PAMs but I just didnt like wearing them but I really like looking at them !! The history of a watch or brand really interests me the way the models or makers evolved to met new technology or fashion etc interests me but wearing them??? No!!..... I have no idea why to be honest as my thinking doesnt I think equate but thats just me Being a new watch doesnt bother me from a beater point of view, I wear it, if it gets damaged and I was too stupid to take it off then I live with it but it doesnt bother me that I might

Welcome to the forum mate Maybe you could introduce yourself and take some time to look around. If you use the search feature in the PAM section you will find plenty of reviews and opinions as to the best daylight, once you know which version you want that is. As its a relatively new version you can just read through the last few pages of this section to find all the detailed info you need. There are a list of trusted dealers in the relevant section on the home menu plus a list of trade reviews. You might also find what you want in the sales section from other members. There is no rush as you wont get your hands on one now till the new year given the weather and your location so you have plenty of time to research from the info available and make a decision on who you want to purchase from as these watches all come from the same factory your decision can be based on price and service etc. I recommend you ONLY use the trusted dealers as you will in all liklihood get scammed with either your money or the watch ot both!!! And dont believe any site that tells you you will have it in a few days!!! For starters the better DL OTB is the 250/236 with Asian 7753. The best rep OTB is the 288 currently. The latest DLs have been varied as the first batch came with VG lume but no silver subdial pins the latest has odd lume and silver subdial pins. The CG will need some attention which ever one you get and the movement will need a service as they are prone to issues what with GZ QC etc. So dont be surprised if it stops working correctly after you get it thats the rep world... that of course leads to who in UK does mods or watch repairs..again the info is all available on this forum Good luck hopefully you will realise this is a great place to learn and find some great watches and more importantly make some good friends

Being someone that usually sticks to the "normal" colour straps I thought I would try something different for me..... I saw this strap from Halcyon on his 251 and thought the colour might suit my 088 as the colour might pick out the subdial... T was very helpful and made this to my size, I am pleased with it and think it adds a variety to the normal OEM look I usually go for Sorry about the pics but I havent mastered the iPhone yet !!!!

Going by some QC pics I have seen the plates are better finished and I think the OP is slightly thinner going by the pics I saw Though who knows this could just highlight the consistency problems... Loks better though thats for sure !!

I saw that post though dont agree with the prices he suggested. If you want to buy to part out but keeping the bits you want then I would hang to them for a while till the watch has been around for a bit thats when the need rises for parts

+1 on the Sarge and Miles Blimey the OP print or the Y incabloc etc etc is easier and quicker to see than the dagger!! If it bothers you that much as Miles says buy the gen movement or get Jakob to make you a solid case back personalised...its the sort of thing a gen owning risti might do anyway
