  1. How much of a rush are you in mate? I will have one shortly that I am parting out... Has W0lf sold the one he had up?
  2. Definitely worth going with the A+ on these given the lumed areas.... Its your fault....... you shouldnt of lessoned me !!! Ganging up now are you !! Your another one that needs to take some blame....you started it all... ..your the biggest reason of all
  3. You smoother talker you ....!!!
  4. Am I missing something mate? Are you asking us to donate reps to you so you can use the watches to tip for the service that you receive while on holiday?
  5. While Rob had it he could of got the CG legs flush to case and flattened the pin hole and set pin for gen look. Not a big issue mate but while he had it, it would of got the CG sorted properly I cant see your lever properly but if like most it isnt completely flush he could of sorted that too... Dont get me wrong mate I am just being picky looks fine the way it is...just remarking on the opportunity while Rob had it.
  6. Blimey thats a sweeper Even keener now to see the 111J in my hand and against the gen. Your such a tease D
  7. Rob always does great work and his skills are unrivalled.... Congrats wear it well, I had Rob do similar stuff for me but why didnt you get him to do the CG feet and pin while he had it ??
  8. Reg should be able to get you one mate.... But he would have to pick it up on his next trip If not I would first try..... Puretime, Trevor, Polo, and probably Tony @A7750. Or you could think about getting Mario (Orloff) to make you the strap you want exactly, you only have to see his work to know what this guy is capable of and his prices cant be matched IMHO. Get one made to fit a 22 deployant rather than a 20mm Plus the 22mm deployants are nicer than the 20mm IMHO and more readily available
  9. Is there any way that the membership could vote through say a generic PM perhaps, although I agree with all the names being touted the noob of the year nominations is a little light and the guys posting here are all the names you would expect to get involved as the good community members that they are It would might be good for this community if we could get more of the members especially the new guys involved in the process... I hope I am not speaking out of place PS I also think Deniz has been a good member to this forum since he joined....he is always getting involved and in his own way, makes great contributions to the community ethos of friendliness and helpfulness I agree with a lot of the sentiments here in respect of the fact there are so many great guys, some many valuable and useful contributions.. The difficulty is the basis on which a vote is made.... I mean if it was best looking then I would have to vote for myself All I do know since joining this fantastic community is there are many great members with so many great qualities....
  10. There are some on eBay and if you look on the dealers sites they offer these in accessories under the brand... admittedly not all but they are some Or you can just contact them direct and ask them to source you one....
  11. Great share Thanks mate
  12. Great thread D, I guess you got a camera for Xmas I am doing mine the other way round then using the 111 case for an A project. Once I have the other rep 111 I will post some case pics of the gen 111 against the new 111 and 177 to highlight the differences.
  13. Congrats mate, I wear the same way so I know what you mean I wonder if we can expect a correct destro movement anytime soon? Its the only thing that holds me back...daft I know considering the rest of the movement!! Wear it well
  14. I would have to vote for Hike, he has shown me personally and on the forum just what a great member of the community he is and more importantly a genuinely nice bloke And more importantly he gave me free porn As for noobie, I agree Gtanak
  15. Where did you come across them?
  16. I bought one of those cases !!! Its all your fault !!
  17. From the lugs I cant see EL on any of these mate !! But one of them has the sought after 581 CB !!
  18. The 288 will take a 27 or 26 mm at the lugs. If you want to use the deployant it comes with its a 20mm at buckle but remember when ordering or choosing to make sure its a strap for deplyant!! These are thinner than most straps to allow fitment of the buckle. Then you could use a Luminor deployant at 22mm again remember strap must be for deployant. Or you can use a buckle these can be got in 22, 24 and 26mm Choice of buckles is long and varied from OEM Tang Thumb etc to Pig etc etc So you could order 27/20 for deployant or 26/26 for buckle etc etc. The choice of strap is yours, most Ristis will swap out their original straps for good hand made versions however IMHO you cant beat OEM on a watch like this or an OEM look. I posted a nice OEM style strap 27/22mm on deployant on mine in the straps section. I also have posted some pics of it on my OEM JV 26/26 on deployant. If you look around here and RG you will see loads of pics posted and similar questions posted for the 288 Good Luck mate There is no right or wrong when choosing your strap!!! http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=123696
  19. Great point mate But its good advice with any rep to check all screws and even think about loctite once you have it the way you want it
  20. Cant go wrong for the money !! He can do whatever you want mate though he sells ready made. I always get them made to order for which he takes a couple of days !!
  21. Mate...He has got an EL CB he wants a vintage CB to fit the EL case Looks very nice mate but if you havent got the lug face inscriptions wont getting another case be just as easy now? As you say adding would be a pain but what about fitting a double threaded ring in the case?
  22. Though I have never had personal experience of this issue, I have read a few threads asking the same question. However my old DSN 217 CB did fit my EL case and vice versa when I was playing around with them. But I assume you need a vintage CB for a vintage movement? I never read that any of these fitted the EL but I do know you can have them made to order by Gordon or Stefan (NW & VDB) but the cost probably aint worth the effort!! I would be looking for one of their casesets or I recall River has had a few made up on special order that might be worth looking at mate I am not sure why they dont fit? Whether its the thread or the actual ring size, I remember my Old school cartel 47mm CBs wouldnt fit the ELs either.
  23. Both can be painful !!!
  24. Yes to both mate !!
