All you have then is a longer wait which is good for you mate I was talking to a dealer he mentioned he had a package stopped last week at UK customs with 2 watches..... Now wait for it....... Customs let one through and kept the other.... !!!!

He done same to me..... Told me I had to order the watch first.... and we are talking big money rep wise... Yet I knew it wasnt available from the makers but was contacting dealers to see if any could lay their hands on one....

Just be sure its actually Joshs site and not one of the scam sites using the name in the title... use link in TDs section not google etc ..

I reckon he is showing off... he is including the zeros after the decimal point as well :) Well hopefully you used a dealer that will replace if seized and he will break up shipment into 2 or 3 at most... You need to share pics when they arrive and tell us the plans

Thanks for info mate.... Its interesting to read that.... so if no other packages of the dealer have been caught then I guess its not his name flagged... though there is no certainty on that... I would ask next time you order to ask for different packaging... But whatever you do dont use your address again for the foreseeable future....if you order then use the triangle method with your address or use an alternative address...

First off guys.... I am sorry to hear the confirmation..... Its happened to me and I know that gut wrench feeling.... But it would be interesting to know a few things to re-assess risks on this... How close are the tracking details ... date wise? In terms of sending and initial arrival? Can you share the dealers? Or at least are they the same? Do you both have the QC pics showing the completed EMS shipping form? Is there anything different to what you have seen before? Ask the dealer... what the packaging was? I mean was it the traditional polystyrene box with yellow tape all round it? If we can see those answers... then we might know how he items both got stopped so close to each other ....(apparently any way) And more importantly.... What could be flagged is the dealer details or details on the EMS ticket?? or/and The look of the packaging... (once they find one they look for similar looking packages) It might be worth asking our dealers to consider alternative ways of packaging.... like some use to do.. using toys or clothing etc... Something that has a completely different shape and feel etc Remember to point out to dealer it helps them too if they guarantee replacement... and if they dont then offering an extra few dollars might incentivise.. Just a thought

DW font looks different and that bezel aint as sharp... deep but not sharp Not sure if its pics but DW also looks off centre, the lume is similar to the SA V3/V2s compared to gen Given the price of lume the maker probably compensates the weaker mix by increasing volume on the dial.. Overall though its a lovely version in the yelllow dial.... given the last versions performance this wont last long

I would send to someone in UK first .... better to send it on within EU to Finland

In UK Return to owner means nothing to Customs.... you still get charged full value stated... UK Customs attract 2 levels of duty... Customs duty and Tax Duty.... If you state 'gift' it still gets charged at full value.... same as if you say 'Returns'...'Exchange' etc Its all about value..... Keep it under $50 UK Parcelforce and Royal mail.... will charge £13.50 admin charge on top of the 20% Tax duty and approx 5% Customs Duty

Where in EU mate..... If its UK ..... I always found costume Jewellery with a value of $50 or less....worked for me... But if its Germany, Italy .... you could have a higher risk... Followed by Sweden, NL, IME anyway

Can I ask you how you know it was Ken that deleted your post? Having never had a post deleted ... I would be interested to know? I can only look at your comments from my own experiences on this forum.... Whenever I have seen threads that refer to sensitive or personal issues or bring into doubt the Crew or members of the crew.... I have never seen posts or threads being deleted.... however if those posts become overly aggressive or post personal information or information that may harm the forum or its members then I have seen it once or twice.... but a statement is always made regarding its deletion and or the thread is closed but remains readable.. So frankly I really cant take any of your more asinine comments seriously.... you might find some personal affront but as a member myself I have nothing but trust for the team here and its moderation of the forums.. Not a blind trust but a trust built on experience and involvement on this forum... Thanks

To the OP given the erratic changes in terminolgy of Parcelforce.... the message could relate to package being set aside for scanning or opening... you wont know for certain until you either receive a letter from Parcelforce or the package itself... Its a bit like doing a Vehicle control check point..... officers will pick out every 3rd or 5th etc etc package for additional checking... doesnt mean its caught... though its a much higher risk at thsi point... If you have ever seen this operation done by UK customs its very hit and miss.... they basically pull out packages in a patterned but irregular method... now another thing to consider is that many other importers from China and rest of world have stopped or slowed down their packages during the Olympics as a matter of prudence... this will of course mean that risks increase because packages from locations of interest are less in number.... and once you have seen a GZ watch package they aint hard to spot.... Do not contact them it could take a few weeks at this time.... If it is bad news and once contacted ... Do not deny the package... they aint stupid... you will go on thier flagging system... If and when asked, explain it must be the free gift that was mentioned when ordering some parts/straps etc from a company.... Your order was over X amount of dollars and they said I had choice of free delivery or a free gift... you took the gift option... or you were entered in a buyers draw and you recieved an email saying you had won a mystery prize/or watch (whatever)... but what you bought was early part of year..etc You had forgotten all about it... By doing this you aint doing the obvious 'I dont know' and it may be possible that the watch will still be released to you.... they need to prove it is counterfeit and money exchanged hands etc etc By doing that you are minimising long term risks to your name and address... not just with watches but allsorts... plus there is still a slight chance you could still get the watch... As for 'Pete and Old'..... Your info is wrong mate.... at the moment your package is awaiting clearance nothing more.... I aint saying its safe but it aint caught ... EMS is Parcelforce Economy 24.... The 24 Hrs kicks in once the package is released to 'National Hub' Parcelforce did change terminology recently to what we were all used to.... The biggest issue over this period is the gap between Olympics and paraolympics.... I was told by a guy that knows That the extra shifts and increased vigilience and additional scanning equipment has been maintained during the break between events.... however the increased traffic has reduced therefore there are more officers working 24hrs with little to do.... so you might say the job is getting done better.. a lot of these guys are being put on imports to keep them busy but will go back to other duties once other traffic increases... These shift patterns and numbers will be reduced after Paraolympics has finished... at the moment there is too many doing the job and until they are put back on their other duties you can expect higher risks.....

Mate I aint trying to be clever here.. but if you go to the General Discussion section... there are a few threads some very recent regarding watch smiths in UK... Most of what I read didnt bring to light any modders.... a few lume guys and a few rep friendly watchsmiths... there was a guy on RWG that was in UK but i think he has stopped doing it... it mainly depended where you were located as most would only deal face to face... The best guy IMHO within EU is Domi.... especially with Rolexs and APs.... he is a watchsmith by trade and has worked for some high end marques.... He is a big Rolex lover so he seems to excel at doing work on these... though i use him for PAMs and other brands..

@azgjag ....Whats the bobby on those bridge plates mate? Have had a few projects building the modded and franken PVD models in the past... T-S-Ts and TST and B Series LSL's.... always preferred Zigs source on the PVD or possibly Rollie's depending on model and series... as there were a lot of variations in tone and vickers with the gens..

Lovely job there mate.... great combo... Always liked that plexi height in these cases.. I wonder how a more of a copper finish might look on the hands... with that dial.... just thinking aloud there mate... it looks great.. That is a really nice look mate.... I really like the colouration... and the leather works well with the thicker thread closely sewn... For me though I would prefer the box stitch closer to lug end... and maybe the black edge across the edging rather than just on the top layer... but that my taste.. I am sure others will like them as they are... But overall mate I think these straps especially the broken leather pattern are some of the best I have seen recently... Lovely Job mate

I am sorry to hear that your daughter has this mate.... but glad at least there are drugs that can help her... I assume things have got worse hence the change in medication? I am sure she is a strong and determined little girl and with you and your family I am sure she will get through it... though I know it will be hard for all of you... If you can find what you are after as a pic ... then send it to Rochest at WI or Polo... they can usually source parts and straps if they are out there... but you aint going to find a good one... in terms of say the Diver strap quality... be more like a V1 strap..

There are a few gen dials that pop up on the bay..cheapest are some guy in Finland.. but also try Vanni... more expensive but can get a few... plus hands As you mentioned Mike.... if you check his past content he has done a few write ups on these..so you can pick and mix.. so to speak.. Then there is Al and Gilbert as I recall Domi has been involved in a few franken projects of late using the MBKs.... I have seen some of his reworkings of the CG and case etc... best one I saw was a 119 with gen dial and crystal.. Reg can probably pick you a good one out at the mo as he is over there...plus you can get a cheaper version from MBK thats good f you are parting for a project.. same CG case etc just crappier dial etc
