+1 with JK.... Why are they only offering you the price of the watch 2 years ago? Surely if they except responsibility then the price should be what it would cost to buy one today..... and if its no longer available then surely the value goes up in replacement terms... ??

I was just looking at the new 111M.... Is this a good watch to buy? Also does anyone know where I can get it and who are the dealers you guys would use... ? I did have a look about but I cant seem to see and its getting a little confusing for me being a PAM noob... Thanks in advance

I am sorry to hear of your woes mate.... I hope things get sorted for you... Regardless of who did it and assuming there is nothing more to the info set out here.... the most disappointing thing for me is that it was sent back without comment... We all know things happen with modding and regardless of the skill of the modder.. prof or not... then at least I would expect any modder to say " Look the hands were damaged... I will try and source another set or if you (the owner) can get another set sent to me and I will refund you against your costs..." The biggest problem with a lot of modders I have found even the best of them.... except for one exception!! But he has already posted here .....is that they take on too much or dont organise a steady stream of work which therefore impacts on the quality of the work... In addition just personal circumstances can create a back log and in turn this can effect the quality... this then tends to be compounded by a lack of communications... again for the reasons above or due to language differences.. But the other side of the coin is some of us can expect too much or dont appreciate the risks of some mods with certain parts or watches... this aint aimed at you R in any way mate.. I am just talking generally..... even in the short time I have been on this forum I have seen great leaps in repping and modding and having read older threads and speaking to senior members I realise just how far things have come... mainly because of those senior members on here pushing the boundaries and expectations.. for the benefit of us all... I think this is highlighted by some of the recent threads/comments made regarding member sales... let alone dealer sales.. No matter R..... I hope it gets sorted

PWC is a TD on RG and RWI... he has a certain way about him and dont expect anything more than getting what you paid for

+1 on the variations of lume... Personally the only one I have had in my hand that I rate above the rest is the 288... Given its always worth getting any new movement serviced and I always would its no bigger effort to get the lume redone and CP... given the CP shape can also be seen easily in certain light reflections.. As an aside... I was chatting with a guy I didnt know, who was wearing a latest version A7753 250 the other day..... I have to say the lume was a real give away when he held it out to show me, I think he knew I had spotted it as rep because he pulled it away sharply and tucked it under his jumper nonchalantly after that and stopped moving his arm about... I reckon it was one of the second versions which had the poorer lume and silvered subdial hands... Funnily enough the other thing that really caught my eye was the rep alligator strap.... the sandwich edging really seemed obvious compared to the turned edge of the gen...... First time I had seen one on somebody elses wrist... and no I didnt call him out...

If you look on this page... you will see a few threads on the PAMs in 40mm.... these come in various models... 49, 50, 119 etc etc........ Check W0lfs thread about a watch for his Mrs.. Best OTB version is the MBW..... you can get these from Reg (Narikka) or Robert at PWC prices are around 350 to 500.. Rob is the cheaper by far... if you want budget then just go for something from Rep-Make etc These particular ones are considered the most accurate... unlike the GZ versions from Josh etc
