    MacBook 2009

Thanks MM Its just a 13in Aluminium Macbook (pre Macbook Pro). As soon as it spilled I turned the book upside down to drain all the liquids. It turned off immediately and this morning when I tried to turn it on it tried to boot up but then died. So its not working. I am going to drop it off at the shop and see what they say.
  2. Last night, a full glass of wine was accidentally spilled on my macbook's keyboard. Sad to say, it doesn't work anymore. Has anyone here experienced this and if yes, were you able to fix it?
  3. Brilliant film!! I noticed the watches but did not look closely. I was fully engrossed in the story.
  4. I purchased one last month and have returned it because the crown tube was crooked and it being a big crown was very noticeable. I removed the crown tube and rescrewed it back in but it was still crooked so it looked like it was the actual hole in the case. I tried to exchange it with Yuki but I bought the last one. I said that I could probably live with it but after a few days, I decided to return it. Apart from that it was a good looking watch. It needed a bit of ageing etc.
  5. I had the same issue (it really annoyed me) and removed the bezel and readjusted the click spring. After a couple of weeks the spring broke and the bezel was rotating in both directions. So I purchased a spring from Clarks and installed it. In my opinion, the Clarks' spring is better, there is almost no movement/ play in the bezel now.
  6. Cats, I know how you feel. My eyes are so sensitive to these things. I returned the yuki 7922 because the crown was crooked, it was very slight but I could see it and it was niggling at me. I thought I could live with it but in the end I couldnt so I returned it to Yuki. I have had dials which are slightly off and I can spend hours getting it straight due to dial dots and placement in their respected cases. So with that said, it is not difficult to straighten the dial. From my limited experience, I would remove the case back and loosen the screws and use the crown stem to move the dial to align in the case. Good luck!
  7. Great review LHOOQ! I have one from Josh and I must say that apart from the endlink/ spring bar issue, the folded bracelet looks great albeit rattly. I must try Mary's one. Thanks again for the great review and pics.
  8. I emailed Yuki about using the ETA adaptor on the 6538 case and this was their response: "Thank you for your interest and visit. The 6538 repalcement case with 8mm big crown is USD 7xx.00. Sorry this case didn't have development the adaptor. Thank you and have a nice day." Maybe Stilty's adaptor will work. If yes, then I am keen to embark on this project too.
  9. I had something similar on one of my watches a few months ago and cape cod did the trick.
  10. A no date watch for Friday the 13th
  11. Excellent! What a nice present to get from yourself.
  12. very very nice. I just picked up a 1600 circa '70 a couple of days ago with the same dial as my ex 1603. I bought her because I am missing the 1603 that I gave to my missus and therefore have a bad case of watch envy. It came with the original jubilee but I have changed it to PC's new 1655 bracelet last night and took a quick snap of it. and this one now belongs to the missus
  13. Yes, from looking at the images, it does look smaller than the one its compared to. But the lume looks good though
  14. Its my LV with a black insert. I am not a fan of the green insert. Its got the fat minute hand and bigger larger dial markers.
  15. +1. I read this last week, and as soon as I looked at the pictures, I said how is it that no one picked this up and they massacred a new member for picking up the flaws. Poor guy, at least he was vindicated in the end.
  16. Still the 5510 from Joshua
