    Dilemma

Longines looks the best. I ve never been a Longines fan but out of the 2. I prefer the Longines. It really depends if you know which brand your friend prefers. But if he doesnt have any preferred choice, then I would buy the Longines.
  2. Well done to you and congratulations on gaining such a beautiful piece. She is absolutely stunning!
  3. It sounds like you are dead set on getting a Gen Sub so I would say "go for it". If you dont get one you will regret it. If you feel its a great deal then do it. I have this saying, "You can always replace the item but you can never replace the bargain". Good Luck. Please post some pics of your purchase.
  4. Thank you Aeromatic and I completely agree with your comment.
  5. I purchased a Gen A series Sub early last year for $2750 with box and papers. I was very content with the watch but then the itch came again and I started looking at other models of rolexes and purchased an F series turnograph. So I decided that the sub had to go and with good quality Sub reps easily available, I thought that I would buy a rep if I missed the watch. So I purchased a V3 from BK in Jan 2010 and I must say that I can hardly tell the difference. I ve put the watch on a 93150 bracelet and it looks exactly like the ex A series minus the lug holes. I have not looked back and am happy that the V3 has filled my modern Sub void. What I am trying to say that for me personally, if the watch looks 99% like the real thing, then there is no need to spend 5-10 times more on a gen. I guess its a personal thing I am quite satisfied wearing a rep that looks great, because the person who really cares is me and no one else really notices or cares about whats on your wrist.
  6. I ve just received a ft 1st red sub from Josh. I must say it looks good for the price. I will post take some pics and post this evening when I get home from work. So far it looks good apart from the crown guard, the fat crown and the yellow markers on the dial.
  7. Thank you for the information. I plan to change my crown on a new watch. How do you take the crown off the stem? Thanks
  8. they look great. Can I lock in 5 1575 black date wheels and 2 1575 roulette date wheels please. Just to confirm that these will work with the 2846s and 2836 etc? Thanks.
