On my Gen turnograph, you cannot see the etching. You have to look really hard under the right light and then you can see it. Its meant to be an inconspicuous detail. All the reps I have seen so far have the etching too obvious to the naked eye. So, in my opinion that is a dead giveaway that its a rep. I much rather have no etching on my reps. My .02cents

From what I ve heard it should fit. On the MBW cases it snaps right in. So I reckon it would. If it doesn't, some small mods to the insert wouldn't do it any harm.

If i had to choose I would pick #3. I like the M first dial. The bracelet and insert can be changed if it really bothered your friend. 2nd choice would be #4. I like the patina of the dial.
