  1. Exactly, you could do the regulator mod, maybe change the screws to silver, and you would be done! Or leave it as is, because it looks sweet, I have a soft spot for the all black
  2. Why would you want your money back? This is the best of both watches, the V1 watch with the high beat movement and best case construction/quality, and the more accurate V2 rotor, looks like a damn fine watch, aside from the missing regulator, one of the most accurate all black HBB's I have seen, even the date is black with grey background How much did you pay for it?
  3. Selling my beloved DSN 027a,......

  4. This strap should look sweet, great price too http://apbands.com/shop/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ROO-PROT-KEV-EOD&Category_Code=OVERSTOCKED&Product_Count=1 Love the look, but not a PVD fan either.....
  5. Wearing my Chopard right now Got it from Mary for over $100 less than trusty: Also the 43mm Tag is sweet too Either one would be a great choice in my book. Choose your dealer well, avoid the larger drop shippers, best to go with the smaller dealer, who will pay full attention to your order
  6. Gun metal enamel, mixed with a little black and grey
  7. Cool idea, how about this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/humbrol-super-enamel-14ml-paint-gun-metal-053-/350368238925?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_ToysGames_ModelKits_ModelKits_JN&hash=item5193930d4d
  8. Looking good! Should have my HBB back from Domi very soon, now with a Swiss 7750 beating inside
  9. I look forward to seeing your HBB theflyingdutchman when the updates and mods are finished!
  10. Fantastic write up, very informative, thanks very much! Regarding the crowns bevel and slope, this picture is a concern..... The sloping is very pronounced, worse than the original T48 crown, there is a marked misshapen aspect to each of the ridges, as it tappers away, clearly seen in the crowns shadows and reflections. I really hope T stops the over polishing on these, because a sharp, square cut look is very desirable, and so far these crowns don't have that, unless they are PVD or TI..... Cheers!
  11. Either way, it is not the most accurate of the AP reps available
  12. I thought the flaw with the new cream/white AP rep dial was that the numerals didn't have the silver outline, whereas the gen (and the original white rep dial) did..... Cheers!
  13. Well it's time to upgrade your OS, WinXP is now 9 years old! Win7 home is not that pricey, and runs so much better than XP and Vista, as long as you have 1GB of RAM or more you should be OK, although I have installed it on a 512MB system and it still ran fine, just turned of most of the visual effects (which I do anyway)..... The biggest way to slow a PC down is to have lots of software loading upon startup, I have seen PC with 20+ programs loading into active memory, no doubt it was the reason the PC hardly worked. My PC has only 6 programs loading upon startup, including Kaspersky The worst programs are the spyware checkers and system mechanic stuff, they do all there scans and checks when the system starts, and it slows everything to a crawl
  14. If you have Win7 you don't need any maintenance software, I would remove all that type of software and reboot, spyware stuff should go too.... I imagine you have too many programs loading upon windows startup, is the bottom left tray area full of loaded program icons?
  15. The latest version of windows (win7) doesn't need any optimisers, I would remove them if I were you. Also un-installing 2010 would not be the answer, it is one of the least demanding security programs you can find, not a system hog like Norton.... How many programs are starting when windows loads at startup? Is the bottom right hand system tray full of icons? I bet you would be OK if you remove any tweak, system maintenance, spyware programs etc, if you have win7 you simply don't need them
  16. I have been using Kaspersky 2009/2010 on my PC and my parents laptop for well over a year, no problems at all, something else must be wrong with your system..... I hope you didn't pay extra for the 2010 version, because you could have renewed your 2009 cheaper, and just install the 2010 version anyway. Unlike Norton you can get the latest version of Kaspersky when released without charge. I did when 2010 was released, free update of my previous 2009 edition
  17. Didn't expect Italy to be 1-0 down at half time!
  18. Americans just don't understand football! What's with the "British" part too? Wrong on so many levels From a nation that brings us people that shout "Get in the hole" on a golf courses par 5 hole, I am not surprised! @KB: The sending off was a joke, it hardly warranted a yellow card, if at all. I have already seen a few worse challenges in the Holland v Denmark game, with no card shown, one was much worse and wasn't even deemed a foul at all!
  19. I am struggling to get a mirror shine when I polish steel, I am also having a hard time finding what the softest cloth wheel is, and the finest rouge. It is so tricky searching the web when the variation is so large, I end up just using a cape cod cloth..... Any links to a EU/UK sale of the softest wheel and finest rouge for a dremel would be greatly appreciated!
  20. To me the cyclops looks very good indeed, I really can't see any problem now the crystal is turned slightly, congrats on a sweet looking watch!
