  1. Thanks for the write up Lani, great shots as always! It looks so much nicer, especially the case engraving on the side, the V1 was a real mess there..... How are the hour markers, straight and aligned OK? Cheers!
  2. I would not bother putting a gen movement in this watch, unless you could source a gen dial and hands to match?
  3. The dial is made for a Swiss V72/V23, or a David Wong "mystery movement", not the 7750. The hands are for a V72/V23 too, so they will not work with the 7750...... In my original sales post I mentioned that the case was for a 7750, and that the dial and hands were not. Sorry if you did not see that.... I am sure you can trade or sell the V72 dial, or even better locate a Valjoux 23 or 72 movement to complete the project, which is what I never got around to doing...... Cheers!
  4. Well lets see For me the second hand is too short, and the wrong shape and colour at the tip. The main lettering on the dial does not have a flattened area around the font, nor does the flattened area extend around the date window, which is in the wrong position by a mm or so. Of course the date font is wrong. The outer edges of the dial is printed way too thin, including the little ticks and circle marks..... Not to mention the back of the watch, which has a display back showing the wrong movement..... Not very accurate
  5. Well I hope the hand did not mark or scratch up any of the dial or other hands, if not then maybe get it serviced and get Puretime to offer a partial refund..... If the dial is now scratched up, maybe a new dial from Puretime? Good luck!
  6. Look at the gears and screws under the dial, all pretty much placed where the gen would have them...... Stock RBII reps have just a metal plate under the dial, with a few rough circular swirl marks
  7. How about requesting a replacement from your dealer and shipping it back to him? That's what I would do, even request a cross shipped replacement to save time if possible....
  8. Here is a picture from the repgeek sale: I will remove it if requested..... $1200 for the modified watch, so $600 for the plate and craftsmanship, and $600 for a stock cartel RBII..... I would love to buy the plate, but not for the same cost as the watch, looks good though A real shame he did not share some high resolution, detailed pictures and measurements of the plate, so others could re-create, as he is not doing any more....
  9. I would wear it on a leather strap of some kind anyway, I really dislike the PAM steel bracelets, horrible things......
  10. Hehe, I know how you feel, I am skint too I am sure someone will pick one up soon......
  11. Well volunteered, you even have the right forum name........
  12. Not too bad, should be able to get them for less elsewhere too I bet
  13. Just a matter of time for the "buy" button to appear, along with the specs and price etc...... Give it a few hours or so
  14. Yes these are 7750 based, not el cheapo movements..... I just hope they are priced at $200 or so, maybe a bit more for the chronographs Otherwise they would be clearly price gouging, due to the known demand.....
  15. Yep, the more I look, the more like a titanium/steel case it seems Pop a thicker date font in and they should look all right
  16. Actually those chronographs look like they may be using titanium/steel cases, as per the gen's, hooray! Or is it just brushed steel? Such crappy pictures......
  17. Have a peak: http://www.jpc8118.com/0244b-p-6681.html http://www.jpc8118.com/0244c-p-6682.html http://www.jpc8118.com/0244-p-6679.html http://www.jpc8118.com/0244a-p-6680.html Have they started reproducing the 40mm PAM line? No info posted on the links yet, just pictures, they may not be 40mm...... Cheers!
  18. The watch has been dropped, so it could be any number of things! You need to look for somebody to repair it as a priority I would think, search the forum for "watchsmith", you will find the right person I am sure.....
  19. Michael Ballack was in the crowd, among other peeps, he was wearing some sort of Graham Chronograph
  20. Nice watch! If it were mine, I would DLC coat the case
  21. Nice photos, thanks for sharing!
  22. I would say from the pictures, the ceramic case on the V2 appears to be "cleaner", noticeably the Top Gun engraving on the side of the case looks crisp and sharp. The dial may be better too, the markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9 seem to be much nicer, and from looking at all the dealer pictures, straight and aligned too..... I really like the fact that the V2 movement has a proper spacer ring and is screwed down, the other IWC's have just that retainer spring, which to me looks weak and poor in terms of dial and movement security........ http://www.kingwatches.net/IWC-158.htm Cheers!
  23. Tony has not uploaded any images of these full ceramic Hublots to his website yet, but if you want to buy one, just link to this post in an email, or feel free to send one of my photos as an attachment.... I am sure he has many different variations available, just ask and he will see if it is possible! Remember he is an off board dealer though, not linked or supported by this forum in any way. Saying that though I (and others) have found his service and products to be very good! Cheers!
  24. Yep, you an me both! no fillings here either, but one titanium tooth implant and too much fizzy pop
  25. Yes you are right of course, but I have outgoings, without having the required funds, I seem to never learn...... Somebody else will have a great watch though, and I will have the cash I need, so it's win - win really! I will re-visit this watch, only next time when I have the spare cash to keep it! http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=100359&hl=
