DSN PAM 027a, Swiss 2892 + PR module sweetness!
Mickey Padge replied to Mickey Padge's topic in The Panerai Area
Good point, what to do, what to do? I know I will wear the RBII on my right wrist at the same time too! -
Some of you may have seen my WTB thread, looking for an auto PAM, well it seems DSN has answered that call! Service from DSN was top notch as always, the watch was posted on the 27th via EMS, and delivered today! Would have been delivered yesterday too, but Parcelfacre messed up the delivery address..... The watch was packaged very safely, and included a nice black leather strap, and also a really nice rubber strap and buckle, bonus! Enough chat from me, here are the pictures, click to expand! I really love the watch, the date mag is crisp and sharp, and so is the date, a nice and thick font too. It does not look recessed, due to the second date mag just under the dial inside the date window, nice! Yes the crown and crown guard could be better (bit thin), but if I am honest I don't really care, everything else about the watch so so damn fine, I can easily forget that. The power reserve functions of course, and has moved out of the white zero area while I have been typing up this little review! The lume is feint, which is correct as far as I know, as the gen used tritium, and would have faded after 10 years or so. The case back also has the proper engraving, not etched, sorry, I forgot to add a picture..... Comments and observation welcome! Update! Well, I decided to get a T48 crown as soon as I heard he created some with the correct 0.9mm stem size The crown fits OK, the lever touches, but does not push in that much, if at all. Although I do think it sits well, slightly away from the case (just like the gen picture I posted). When pulled out the crown just touches the inside of the crown guard, but it works perfectly fine DSN sent me a new crown guard too you may notice, after I had some issues with the first one. The new one is nicer still, with a squarer, more right angled cut on the inner side. Also, you will note a really nice HKTAN croc strap Pictures! Keep clicking to expand... Overall I am very, very happy now. I think the appearance is very gen like, with only the crown pin position being a bit too low, when compared to the gen, not a big deal for me though Thanks very much "T" for your excellent crown! Cheers!

I don't remember the previous original RWG skin being so sterile and white......

Never used NT4, or 2000 for that matter, although I did play with 2000 SP4 for a little while

The lugs are the same as any other new case offshore chronograph, just made from titanium, not steel. So the straps will fit without any problems. Same goes for strapluxe straps too

Yep, Win7 is what Vista should have been from the start! The first M$ OS that has run flawlessly straight from the get go, even if it is still a couple of months till release day!
-
Yeah, I had 36 100% positive feedback! Second highest on the whole forum I think...... Please say that you can bring that back?!

Pretty cool that Schumacher is back, but sad at the same time, given the circumstances..... I really hope Massa pulls through OK
-
I am running a fully activated OEM copy of Windows 7 Ultimate, full RTM version, for free! A small motherboard BIOS modification, with an OEM key and certificate embedded into the OS via a command or two, and you are good to go! I am not fond of M$ either, but then, who is? I use a "free" version of M$ office too

We don't sell that many Mac's in terms of our total computer sales ratio, our customers generally see them as over priced too, that is straight from the guys n' gals in the street, I speak to lots of peeps on a daily basis I still say Mac's are more expensive for what you get, in terms of hard drive, memory, CPU, optical drive and GFX etc...... Based on the simple facts regarding the pricing in our retail high street shop and the general public's reaction since we started selling them last year. Sure they have better battery life, and look damn cool, but that is not a justifiable reason for the price disparity..... Plus selling clearance Mac's off display is a nightmare, there is no margin on the Mac hardware, so no discount to play with. The fact that the average Mac buyer doesn't like the idea of buying display models doesn't help either, they are definitely more anal about things like that, even if the Mac is spotless and 100% erased and re-installed Cheers!

Find me a Apple with a 17" screen with the specs of that HP for

Last time I checked at work (few days ago), you can get a HP laptop for £899 with: 2.4Ghz core 2 duo, 4GB memory, 500GB HDD (2x250GB), 512MB ATI GFX card, N wi-fi, blue tooth, 17.3" Screen 1600x900, finger print reader, HDMI connection, lightscribe dual layer DVD wrtiter..... Free Window 7 upgrade too That is a retail price in a high street shop, not online or anything...... My PC I built myself, best way to go in my book

PT is on top of his game when it comes to watches and QC, Eurotimez has let things slip of late.....

An Xbox to play games? If you are a serious gamer, you need a PC, end of story I sell PC's and Apples at work, Macs do cost a lot more for the specs you get, but they do look cool and are very well designed

Adding a Regulator to the A7750 28800
Mickey Padge replied to Francisco's topic in Francisco's Reviews And Tutorials
Great tutorial, this looks like something even I may be able to do! -
When you buy, click the "Long - 120mm x 80mm" bullet point option

Get a windows 7 machine when they appear in the next few months, Macs are way, WAY overpriced for what you get hardware wise..... A new laptop PC for the same cost as the MAC will have more memory, same or faster CPU, larger hard drive , better GFX card (more vid memory), HDMI connection, blu ray drive, finger print log on and more....... Seriously, figure out Vista and how to tweak it to get the best out of it, a computer only runs as well as it's user will let it Cheers!

AP bands have quality straps, but it would cost about $150+ for a strap to be delivered to your door..... http://apbands.com/shop/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ROO-ARAZ-BLK&Category_Code=APROO&Product_Count=63 http://apbands.com/shop/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ROO-PROT-POLIM&Category_Code=APROO&Product_Count=47 Cheers! Regular OEM is small for AP straps it seems....

I have this watch from the same dealer, and I paid for the Asian clone version, but after removing the rotor, I swear it looks like a Swiss ETA!

Too early to say really, as the team are still working on things behind the scene, but really and truthfully, at the moment this does not feel like home.....
