Prudent call. It's sad but there is quite a lot of demand and only one main watchmaker to do the mods. What you don't want are delays and forcing the watchmaker to do things "quicker" and thereby reducing the overall quality of an expensive Franken Grail. Those who have this watch, be very happy. Mate are you serious? Each to their own, but I think you are being way too critical. I think for the price point, again, this is a dream Pam. The CG is pretty good to me. A bit of modding to get it flush to the case. I think the CG Pin is not too bad. The CP looks flush and not bad. Dial is ok. Swan Dagger Plat movement which is a step up into the right direction (without any extra price hike) ... Honestly it's fine. Strap a quality strap on this baby and go flying.

Thing is, the destro is a love or hate thing. People have been drooling over the 112 for a while so it should indicate to the H-Factory that there is major demand for a SS Pam from them. I mean you know the story with the 005. But in the Panerai world, the craze is all about the Zero, the Hero, DNA Pam. I think they will have a huge queue for the Zero if they released it with the same great quality as the 005. Perhaps not long to go.

But the dial does look good. I'd choose one with a better and more rounded CG lever tip and mod the cp while changing the movement.

026 : Good out of the box rep. Excellent price. But Destro CG and movement could be a prob. 009 : Pretty good out of the box but a new dial/hand job may be needed (FGD dial + hands) if you really want this rep to pop.
