  1. Mine from DW (circa 2007) did not fit without some bending of the springbars. Josh's are not bad but it sounds like he doesn't sell them separately any longer.
  2. The dial looks amazing Donerix, can you share a little more on your aging process?

V, They may be service replacement luminova hands. I've read that Luminova looses it's glow over time, Superluminova is "suppose" to glow forever....
  4. RM88, I can't say with 100% certainty that gen parts fit on newer MBW's as I haven't bought one in years, but I suspect yes. The MBW bezel is okay.
  5. A real beauty Ubi -welcome to the MC club! I noticed that Yuki has updated dials with the Home Plates fixed and NDT with the entire watch. Gonna have to look at an upgrade soon. There is a lot of buzz with the Basel 2010 Tudor Heritage 70330 Chrono announcement too. In honor of your Monte Carlo, I'll sport mine tomorrow as well...
  6. RM88, As for ingredients the CWP hands will only fit a gen 1520/30 movement and not an ETA. I still have a set of MKII sword hands (aged by The Zigmeister ) made for ETA movement -if you're interested. To answer your questions: 1) Poor Mans Watch forum had a very good insert for ~$70 Any members have feedback on the Yuki inserts??? 2) Already answered this one above 3) The CWP 5517 will fit an MBW bezel 4) NDT has the best 5517 dial, Yuki's is just okay You'll need to check with the Zigmeister on the permanent strap bar case work on an MBW but I would say that is the best budget route. I hope that helps, best of luck on the project and keep the forum updated with your project! Here are a few inspiration shots for you:

What a beauty V, congratulations! I third the pepsi insert.
  10. It begins Hike.... Very nice! But that case looks tad too new for the rest of the watch -go out and beat that sucker up.
  11. Most definitely Stilty! I did that with my Silix 1675 -been too lazy to try this with my 1655.
  12. MG, I used the stock dial but my 1655 was built from the parts of 3 different watches. Click on my signature line for details on suitable H&M hands and what was done with my dial.
  13. Thanks Utheman! click on the link in my signature line for the 5517 details.
  14. MG, I can't speak for your Asian mvmt 1655 model but I've used both a gen and Clarks Tropic116 on the various models of 1655 I've had over the years and the date mag lined up fine. The main issue was the how tall the crystal sat above the dial -which of course impacts the mag size. See my franken 1655 below, the date is a tad large. It might be some trial an error for you, I'd suggest starting with a Clarks T116, only a $5 investment. Good luck on the project!
  15. What a beauty Red!!! 5517 for me today
  16. Snowflake 7016 on the wrist today, have a nice weekend all!
  17. A real beauty sir, congrats! 16750 today
  18. I'm partial to the silver panda myself. Then again why does it have to be either or....
  19. Happy Monday to all. Exp II with some patina for me today.
  20. Now if the endlink fit issue is resolved that would be great!
  21. Love the 3717 Val! 5517 for me today
  22. Looks like a two tone Cartier Panther TJ.
