  1. Omegaunit, If you're using the same rep 1675 I'm thinking of it wouldn't fit a gen dial anyhow, the gen dial is too small and goes right through the opening. I learned the hard way. Good luck with your project and keep us posted on the progress!
  2. Graphite color I meant, I knew it was gen. Only one way an insert gets that color and still have some gloss to the finish and that's with time and wear.
  3. Nice graphite aged insert Freddy! Is that a new addition? 16750 for me today
  4. Nice choice today RoninQ! Silver dail for me today
  5. A agree with Alligoat, do it right and make the BDay present more special with a gen movement. I tried the same path with an ETA in a highend Vietnamese 5517 case and while it worked, the stem alignment put too much stress on one side of the dial and it started to chip the face of the dial. Classicwatchparts.com will have the proper 6536 choice of hands for a gen 1030 mvmt. Good luck on your project! I have yet to finish mine, still need to have my mvmt repaired first. The movement drops right in my case from ND Trading -supposedly from the same source as Yuki.
  6. Great shots R! I think of the Big E as an equivilent to a table lighter.
  7. Very tasty Projectologist! Congrats to the owner and builder.
  8. Nice trio you have there Donerix! Boy, that Big E is a monster of a watch. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Monte Carlo for me today

Marty, Can't speak for Bernard's watches but MkII produces excellent custom timepieces, I'm sure some of the additional cost is the HEV valve.
  11. Excellent choice Ubi! Think I'll follow suit with my 7016
  12. Nice shots Hike and Freddy!!! 009 today:
  13. RoninQ, It's a Franken with a gen 1520 movement. Thanks B!
  14. Some very nice IWC's today guys! 5517 for me on this Wed.

  16. Thank you to TRP, ThePhilosopher and P for the compliments, it's much appreciated!
  17. Love the orange of the Doxa's! GMT on this rainy Monday
  18. Keep us posted there R, this should turn out nice!
  19. The insides should be a little more parallel to each other, not so angled if that makes sense. Here's a pix of a gen with some slightly uneven in size CG's, which is not that uncommon on vintage. Again, your dial really looks great!
  20. Howdy R, I think we all spur each other on in this hobby of ours. Mmmm, I love the mustard brown tone that some vintage tritium dials take on. I look forward to the redo. Thanks my friend!
  21. PB, great job on the patina that looks like its seen some action! I might suggest a little more shaping on inside of the CG's.
  22. Nice , I haven't seen 20mm before!
  23. Nice Euno, always liked Sinn's!
  24. R, you'll see both gilt dials with gilt and silver hands but all latter RSC replacements were silver toned hands. I agree everything I've ever seen has depth printed above the model on a gilt glossy dial. I do love the gilt dial and matching hands combo. Sniff sniff, I'm missing my gilt 369 dialed 5513. Granted this NDT dial was not glossy.
