Tough call there, it's very understated as it is but not be able to read the time would drive me nuts after a while. Regardless, that movement is superb!

It reminds me of my first gen Rolex purchase nearly 20 years ago; a 1940's manual "Army" model, that watch is so tiny my wife wears it now.

I am personally not a fan of fantasy watches either but I really enjoy mine and it always puts a grin on my face when I flip it over to glance at the movement.

If your talking vintage; gen 1680 dials do not fit in MBW/MKB's without trimming it down a little, it's about 1mm too large if you're thinking about a date sub. No date dials are 26mm and drops right in.
Along the lines of TWS said, Clarks on ebay sells very accurate ETA sub hands.
