Shawn, that pearl looks like a good candidate to age amber/brown like you see on older subs and it has a leg up since it already looks shiny. Some tinted and thinned laquer might do the trick.
That's weird, I just now priced WU online and it says:
Amount to send $ 350.00
Money transfer fee* $ 14.00
Total estimated amount $ 364.00
But it was definitely the $30-40 a month ago.
Victoria,
WU is easy to pay by credit card online and they seem to have drop their prices, its only ~$14 to send $350 to China as an example.
Congrats on the DSN fiddy!
Yup, mine was the same -bent at nearly 45 degrees. As Freddy said there are various depths with end links, if you have extras try them out, the same holds true for gen end links too especially vintage.
This is a guess but I'll say the top row 2nd & 3rd from the left are dups; they have the same SEL bracelets and as far as I can tell the same dials. Boy if this is your buddies collection Nanuq, how does he feel about loaning things out
I'm sure Ubi knows!
1655fan, these are genuines
Fantastic PP, that 1680 looks like it went diving daily for a decade!
The dial looks like the same one NDT offers on ebay, I believe they're out of Vietanm too
Alant,
The forum is a huge wealth of pictures and info about the MBW vintage pieces. Be prepared to do a lot of reading and viewing , there are a lot of beautiful vintage MBW's pieces the members have here.
TTK is the main source for them.
Here's a little more to whet your appetite. These are my Double Red and White 1665's.

I'm with ya Pug, NATO's are some of the most comfortable straps.
Hey, variety is the spice of life, why does it have to be either or... I've lost count of haw many NATO, Zulu, or Tropic straps I have, it's nice to mix it up a bit.
I also think the tire tread rubber strap would look pretty cool on a Monster (can't find a pix of it right now)
I guess you could look at it as spending the extra $$ on a better dial since you got such a deal on the watch -of course, I can often find an easy way to justify something
