  1. I agree with Freddy. I just bought the 7750 version. If you can get one that has been serviced and has had the reducing and reversing wheels removed (so the winding feels like manual movement), you are getting almost as nice a watch for a third or less of the money you will spend on the val 72 version. You can add a few mods, like gen crystal and crown/tube and you are set
  2. I built a val 72 daytona with a DW case. The movement dropped right in. Finding a set of chrono hands that fit correctly ... now that was another story. You should be able to find a case in the $300 range. Then you need to source a dial, correct crystal, movement (which will most likely need to be serviced), gen crown/tube and if you would like, a better pair of pushers from Ofrei or Cousins. This a good post on the subject. Expect to spend 2 grand or more by the time all is said and done http://www.rwg.cc/members/Aftermarket-Dayt...aytona%2Cpusher
  3. Just completed a sale to redwatch. The transaction went smoothly. He is a good guy to deal with.

  4. I apologize for mixing my browns and blues
  5. If you are willing to share the file, I can print it in 2400 dpi.
  6. Do you think they fixed it or just make two of the sub dials bigger?
  7. On my way to Atlanta this morning to start a new job I will be wearing this beauty.
  8. It is 39 mm ... the watch is from Timefactors. It is a Speedbird III - PRS-22. http://www.watcharoo.co.uk/speedbird3.htm
  9. The search button is your friend The movement will not fit with some adjustment (grinding) to the case ... it is not for the faint of heart. I would recommend buying the correct case from Phong. Oh, almost forgot ... the dial won't fit either. Having fun yet?

  11. I read a post about putting hands in the oven to change the color. Would this work to get a better color match on luminova hands to a tritium dial? Both are white, but the hands are more of a stark, brighter white. Thanks. Marty
  12. I don't think using pliers as a press is such at good idea. You can fashion almost any size press you need out of PVC pipe and a small work bench vice. I would take some pics of the setup, but my 1680 is away for repairs. A "friend" buggered the keyless works. Things like that seem to be happening a lot lately
  13. Thanks for the thoughtful reply. Marty

  16. I thought so too ... just wanted to make sure. Thanks everyone.
