  1. I am going to go for the tan/yellow patina look. I just bought an aged acrylic pearl off of eBay. I have had the datewheel overlays for a while. I honestly don't remember where I got them. http://cgi.ebay.com/Sea-Dweller-Submariner...A1%7C240%3A1318
  2. Well ... I was going to do that as I went along, but this is what I have in mind. First, the watch is a MBW DRSD that I bought from Zack. I am going to rework the case, install a gen crown and tube. Shave the CG's. Add a Clark Tropic 39, "flat 3" date wheel overlay, gen insert (or acrylic pearl in the MBW insert), age the case back and at some point have The Zigmeister do a vintage lume on the dial and hands. That should keep me busy for a while. This is how the watch looked when I received it. The aging to the case and bracelet will be much more subtle when I am finished with the watch.
  3. Only had time to drill the lug holes so far. More to follow.
  4. I was reading about reamer style drill bits, which are designed to increase the size of an existing hole and I decided to give one a try. They are not cheap ... about $10 plus shipping, but it was worth it. The bit cut a much cleaner hole very quickly. I bought mine here. http://www.bibbtool.com/yankee-cobalt-spir...mer-p-3115.html
  5. Thanks Avitt. I bought one set from Clark and one set from this outfit. http://www.smea.com/genericparts/2/Caliber
  6. Freddy, I bought two sets of those hands. Stay away from them! They don't fit ... all have 0.17mm holes vs. 0.25mm (sec and minute) and 0.30mm (12 hour counter). They are too small to be broached. I am screwed at the moment
  7. My bad ... I did not realize the origin of the watch. I am sure it is worth what he is asking for it. My post was more about the fact that TZ bends their own rules and allows these types of posts.

  9. It should pop out with finger pressure. As Nanuq said, did you remove the crystal retaining ring?
  10. Happy Birthday Jennifer! I hope you have a great day

  13. Just got my BR 02 in four days from China to the US! His packaging job was top notch and the watch is even better than I expected. The case work is excellent and that strap is supple and smells of vanilla. It is as comfortable to wear as any PAM I have owned. You can't go wrong this watch or ordering from Mark
  14. Don't think so. If it has been dispatched, it has cleared customs on that end and all my packages go through US customs in NY ... never had a problem, knock on wood

  16. Rob, I need a Val. 72 Daytona serviced and assembled. Can you please shoot me a PM if you are taking on new work at this time? Thanks in advance for your help. Marty
  17. Since when does TZ allow posts like this? http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tre...968&rid=560
  18. The washer holds the hour wheel in place.
  19. Try a little heat before you pull them with the needle nose. They will come out!
  20. Some good Texas chili
  21. Lani, I apologize if this has been covered, but do the crowns screw down? If so, do you think they will be reliable? Thanks. Marty

  23. Ed, I know someone that may be able to help. Marty
  24. Thanks Freddy. I know the long tube is for the second hand. I did not realize all three pinions were different heights.
