Link to a video showing the super-smooth tuning fork seconds....
Each to his own I guess. I love it and can't rid myself with the idea of installing this movement in something.
Enjoy. Mastergod
Yeah. Leave the risk-taking to the risk-willing. Totally agree with you regarding reasonable chance of success, however learning by doing terrible mistakes can be a good thing too
Found this on the bay...Accutron 2181 tuning fork. Will it fit into say a SD case? Hey, it's OK to laugh. RWG should be and is - fun...I think my dad had one of these. If I remember correctly, it makes a high-pitch sound that probably makes dogs ANXIOUS. LOL

Thanks! But many of us maximise lume to more than gen lume, apply AR on non-AR watches etcetera - It sure would be cool to have a super-perfectly smooth Rolex. Even if it would be the only one around...I
Hi. Having ordered a T39 Superdome with the intention of making a great sd comex, I need a good out of the box case. Thought of getting this one and doing the usual mods over time.

For a starter case, is this a good choice? Rehaut? Will the T39 tropic fit? Is it easy to get a decent replacement insert for it? Which case should I buy instead if the one shown isn
It seems the pinched markers (disregarding running dial at 6-o-clock as it can be stopped) is the most easily detectable - and most embarrassing - flaw, then.
Which leads to my question whether a gen dial will fit Ruby's version. Anybody know?
Thanks for the guide!
Hi all.
Building on ideas spawned by the Tantalium/OxyClean project here on RWG: What about DIY PVD? This company sells four blackening coats for iron and steel (oxyclean only works on titanium and doesn't give very many options). Just thought I'd pass this on in case somebody's feeling adventurous. The "Mikrolok" finish might look like old pvd unless its too silvery. Price about USD 100/gallon. Some coatings need high temperatures. Others don't. Could it be the "TruTemp" coating is the shiny cartel pvd? Just a thought. Hope somebody out there gets some ideas If anybody have any experience with this, please show your experiments.
cheers,

the SLOB is still the best Panerai I have ever seen. Well done!
If Panerai, a brand that increasingly needs to rediscover its origins, do not release the SLOB prototype as a limited edition offering, the are absolutely barking mad.

Good topic.
This buckle comes from the sling of an old H&K AG-3 submachine gun (used by the IRA, Muslim fundementalists, African guerillas AND the Norwegian army), which just happens to be a 24mm sling. The metal was once powdercoated black, but it
