The problem lies in the added gear to move the seconds from 9 to 12. The movement needs a service and it will run fine. No fun, but just the reality of these great watches:)
I've got 4 ROO's, and the only thing I've done is never keep them on a winder. I wear them for a day or two and put them away for a month or so -- they seem to do best when worn for limited duration. They definitely need a little more planning than the average rep, but then again, they are worth it:)
The main complaint about the green crystal version is that the coloration is off from the gen. The only way anyone would know that is if the gen is two inches from your rep! I'm pretty sure that even if you see one in the wild -- the dude isn't going to whip off both yours and his watches and do a compro It's a great rep -- enjoy it:)
It's funny, in anticipation of the V3 and even after people started getting them, tons of V2's with superlume were all over the sales boards -- and at real good prices, too:). Suddenly, I haven't seen one in a month. What gives?
It's a trade-off -- the 1's are off and the pushers are a bit too long (like 1mm!) but the lume dots are waaaay waaaay better on that V3. Just depends which tell means more to you
If you don't already have a Diver, the V3 is the best thing that ever happened to you! As long as you're not too anal, guys are giving the V2 away these days. Just be patient and pick one off at your leisure
Another option is to wait for a relumed V2 to come up on the sales threads -- guys are basically giving them away due to the V3. Kimerathon just sold a Swiss Vaclumed V2 for $250 the other day! That is a killer deal, and trust me, noone will know the difference (datewindow, better strap blah blah)
